How does the game fit the theme?
Riskcuit is all about risk and reward.
Pressing the Risk Button multiplies cookie points but makes the game harder: faster enemies, falling missiles.
Every choice counts grab the biscuit, but beware the chaos.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
We used a pre-made tileset for basic blocks and royalty-free sound effects as a starting point. Everything else gameplay code, character art, UI, VFX, and the cookie asset was fully created by our team from scratch and tailored to deliver Riskcuit’s chaotic, high risk gameplay.

How many people worked on the game?

I can't actually rate this for the game jam because it was disqualified (?) but its a fun game. I like it.

I like how you handle difficulty, from setting up more enemies to changing controls a little bit, for example initially I could do unlimited jumps and then I was force to master the sprint.

Well done!

The movement is interesting - and I enjoyed the prompt of press R to increase the fun! I had some bugs where visuals would be blurry or not register when I was touching an enemy.

Thank you for your feedback!

Nice game! Good job with the enemy pathfinding. It did feel like they were tracking me throughout the level. Cool tension feel to the game which the music added to really well.

I'm glad you enjoyed the game and that the sense of tension and fun came through that’s exactly what I was trying to convey through the music.

Cool gameplay!

Initially i thought spacebar was to jump (didnt know it was dash). i think it would be a good idea to give player some IFrame after getting hit. great job!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the game.

I didn’t really feel the theme, but the gameplay was pretty solid! I did feel like the controls weren’t quite as tight as I was hoping, it felt hard to control and chaotic to me while the environment was fairly static whereas I think you wanted the player to feel the opposite? That we’re highly in control and it’s the environment that’s chaotic. But nailing down those platformer physics is really not easy, and I think you still pulled off something pretty fun! Great work!

This was really cool! I enjoyed dashing around the level, and the style of the game was very cute as well.

I think it would be cool to have more naturally spawning enemies and cookies, because it felt a bit like the player needs to "risk it" in order to keep the game progressing. Having some more spawn naturally could help give the player more of a choice to reiterate the theme of the game.

Great job!

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words and thoughtful feedback!  You make a great point about natural spawns, we wanted the Risk button to feel impactful, but adding some organic progression could really deepen the choice. We'll definitely keep this in mind for the future. Thanks again for playing!
