Tales Of Wocdes Webpage

Hi all!

It has been a busy weekend. Thank you all for reading, and it seems generally enjoying Chapter 3. Also for reporting bugs, some of which have been fixed already.

But I did promise some more news, did I not. One of which was a webpage! Which is here:

https://talesofwocdes.neocities.org

I started working on this some while back, and I think it is readable. It explains why it exists on the webpage itself.

Please tell me if the “About” part of the navbar does not work, for me it changes between different browsers. I am assuming it is some kind of cache thing...

And at least on my own phone, the page works but is a bit awkward.

The webpage has a FAQ asked section! That might right now be the most important part, I will put that up on both the master post here on on the itch io page and the blog. It only has a few questions in there at the moment, but I will try to fill it out more at some point :D I figure it is good to have on a website with no account needed in case someone does not have a tumblr but likes the game.  I could probably have it on the itch io page itself of course :D But it is already on the webpage so...

Other than that, there is basically no new information on the webpage, at least not yet. Maybe I will make some “lore” stuff there eventually. Maybe not. I do have codex entries in the game itself that could probably be used, and are already largely in html style so fairly easy to put on the webpage.

Let me know if there are issues there! Currently the “About” for me on my main browser is all messed up (it should open a dropdown menu).

And I know, the constant kofi plug on the page (lower left corner) is shameless, and I am not sorry :D

Edit: Apparently I can embed all sorts of stuff to the webpage, and therefore the bug report is also now possible there :D

Hi! Congrats on the webpage!!

Semi-related question: Is there any way to add image upload to the bug reporter? I have screenshots that include the location and issue and prose that I think would help with locating them.

Hi,

Thank you!

To allow file upload: "Files will be uploaded to the form owner's Google Drive. Respondents will be required to sign in to Google when file upload questions are added to a form. Make sure to only share this form with people you trust."

So I have did not add the option. I do prefer text over pictures (since finding the location is easier with copying text into a search field since there are like... 500ish different pages in the demo twine. Sure, I can write it, but unless it is exactly the same, it won't work.

So I suppose there are a few options: 1) I make a separate google sheet for file uploads only (since I think the whole form gets the log in requirement due to the possibility of upload so I might not be able to make it into the same form) 2) We skip that and just use email or 3) Pictures in the comments (not preferable since spoilers for people scrolling by but I have allowed it in the past).

Let me know what you prefer!

If it's complicated or throws a wrench, don't worry about it! I'll just fill the form out next time I'm at my desktop 🥰 You're already doing all the work of writing the story. I can do this much!

Good to know that now we have a place to read it in the worst case scenario.

Interesting to see that some things were censored long time ago. Makes me curious about how bad it was :D

I meant the option to censor some choices that was implemented already in the first published demo :D It is there when you start a new game, or in the profile at the bottom.
