This is an awesome game! The art is really good and I love all the procedural stuff. Maybe the monster could use a bit of work but otherwise, it all looks good. I just found one problem where sometimes getting into the tree doesn't speed up time so I'm stuck at night while the monster's camping the tree. In the end, I think this is a really creative idea and great gameplay :)

Hey man! Thanks for your feedback! Post-jam feedback is just as helpful as during the jam so I appreciate that you went ahead and posted even though it's over!

Nice concept.  Technically impressive for a gamejam game having procedural animation.  Very pretty artwork.  Too easy to fall and get stuck, couldn't find enough bunnies to become big enough to start eating anything larger.

Yes the verlet integration took a whole day itself. But I think it was worth it! Glad you liked it! Thank you for playing!

I like the idea, and the snake was fun to play round with, and the creepy thing was really creepy ;). whenever I left the tree, the fps dropped to about 3, but other than that, it was really cool and fun! :)

Developer

Oh dang sorry about the fps. You can try the patched version over on my profile!

Interesting idea here, and the first time I saw the night creature it spooked me, haha. It was nice seeing a 'cycle of life' game to fit the loop theme (I've only played a few), but also the day/night cycle even better fit the loop. I figured out the best way to move vertically was coiling up and bouncing straight up, but by then it was nighttime and I knew I was dead. I think my frames dropped a little each time I did it too, until the game was running at sub 10fps. It was nice you could kind of slither up vertical walls though, and I read the terrain was procedurally generated which is pretty cool for a jam submission. Nice work!

Hey! Yeah thanks for checking it out. The framerate drop is due to my stupidity with physics particles. It's fixed in the patched version. And as for the snake I'm so glad you figured it out!

Thank you Mac!

Cool idea! I especially liked the art vibe, reminded me of Terraria! Great entry 👏

Very cool concept, i played the fixed ver so idk what the problem was with the original. The movement looks and feels amazing , i have no idea on how that works, very nice work!

Developer(+1)

It's the magic of Verlet Integration. The original problem was me being dumb lol But that's all fixed now!

Thanks you playing!

Life simulator (this was cool! Though the world is kinda hard to navigate)

Developer

Thanks for checkin' it out!

Very good idea for the game, I agree with some of the comments regarding the problems listed, despite that I had a good time and I can't wait to see more :)

P.S.: If you would like to check out the game I worked on, I would be grateful 🙏 (In your free time of course)🙏

Thanks for playing! Yeah I'll check yours out!

Very nice presentation! It would be nice if there was an easier way to get back to the tree in case  you go to a place you're not supposed to go to yet, but I still like the overall idea. Physics and controls feel nice overall good job!

Developer

Thank you!
