Really liked how you implemented the theme into the snake game. Bro why the Level 5 is so hard. I tried a lot but couldn't do it lol. I will try again later.

Beautiful game! I can’t believe how many puzzles you made! I got to level 37 and had to call it there because I could not for the life of me figure out why the game wasn’t considering me as wrapping the fruit while I was part-way through the portals. Is the exit portal not considered part of the snake when you are part-way through?
Anyway, up until the portal issues I encountered, every puzzle felt appropriately difficult and fair, so it’s super impressive that you built the game and 30+ awesome puzzles!
I also really love the use of different fruit to take up different configurations of grid squares.
The portal was one of our last additions to the game, so some of its clarity was forsaken. The exit portal is not actually considered a part of the snake! One example of this is in level 34, where you have to backtrack through the portal in the lower right corner. Again; probably should have some more portal tutorial levels or try to make it abundantly clear. So glad you enjoyed the rest of the game though!
I'm a huge sucker for limited palette pixel art; have to say its extremely well done, especially the shine on the fruits! I want to keep going but unfortunately after hours of gameplay my brain is melting and I only just got to level 39.
OK WAIT I found the skip level button and I've given every level a fair shot and I just want to say these are some of the most mind bogglingly insane level designs I've seen this jam. Like the portals in levels 47-49 were just crazy. Kudos to your level/game designers!
Really glad you enjoyed the art style! That was a design decision made really early on, and we're glad we stuck it out till the end.
As for the level design, the amount of big brain our level designer is can't be put into words. He was making levels all night...

A solid puzzle game with great graphics and sound. My only nitpick is that the difficulty progression feels a little off to me, but the puzzles themselves are excellent. Stellar work!

I have no idea where you found that track, but that music is definitely a remix of Adventure by Disasterpeace.
I have no horse in this race, but I went and listened to that song to see for myself. It has a similar ostinato, sure, but the melody is not the same.
Hmmm… yeah, on a second listen, you’re probably right. It’s just that the ostinato is the most distinct part of the song(s) for me. I guess that’s what pattern recognition does to a person.

Actually the pitch of this was based a little bit more on the puzzles you find In Pokémon gyms! The retro like graphics were meant to emulate that Game Boy feel. (But Void Stranger does rule. Gray FTW. Also Familiar Life from the OST definitely made me cry)

Saw it on stream and had to go do what Mark couldn't. I honestly thought the game would be over by around level 10, but then you started introducing new mechanics and I felt like I'd discovered a secret game world that no one else knew about. The puzzles go pretty challenging but were quite fun all the way up until the portal mechanic. That one probably could use some more work as it's quite unclear what's going on with the portals in a lot of levels. Level 49 was hell to finally clear due to the difficulty in being certain where your snake has even teleported. beat all 50 levels, though, and I ain't mad about the hour or so you made me spend doing that. Keep it up.

Yea, as you can probably tell the portal mechanic was the last thing that we implemented. We probably need some better visual indicators for how the snake is going to move; it's kind of unintuitive as it is right now. Thanks again for checking out our game! We're very glad you enjoyed!
The art and mechanics are unique and mesh with the theme very well! Not a huge puzzle guy, had to skip a few levels. However, when I completed a level, it was satisfying. Nicely done!

Our team was in debate about whether or not to keep the level skip, but ultimately we're glad we did. I think we're also considering adding a video tutorial for each of the levels in the future; there are a few levels that even we can't remember the solution for (except we know that they were solved when we made them...)

Very original take on the classic snake formula! The visuals are what stood out to me the most. That kinda monochromatic pixel art style is super appealing!

This was really cute and neat! I was only able to make it to level 15 before I got stuck (I can't figure out how to reach the exit after getting the fruit). I think my brain missing one vital piece that would let me pass. The art style is pretty and the music is soothing, if a bit short of a loop. The small quality of life features here and there were also very welcome. Very well made!
Really fun puzzle game, I love the artwork here too your colour palette is so nice. My one nitpick is I think an undo button would improve the game but overall this is a really great submission and I had a great time playing it!
