i like the metrovina gameplay loop with the timer great idea! wish i was a had a lil faster movment it would have felt great :)

I liked the time loop mechanic, it reminds me of a movie with a similar premise, forgot what it's called. If you want to polish this game I think it could be helpful to add a minimap that reveals where you've already been. For example, it could mark keys or doors that enter the camera but you didn't have time to collect it.

Developer

That would indeed be a good addition to the game. I am not sure if I will revisit this game when the jam rating period is over, but I might considering it after the nice feedback have gotten.

P.S. Were you possibly thinking of Groundhog day? (That is the only movie I can think of when you say it has a time loop as the premise lol)

Puzzle platformers aren't really my kind of game, but I liked the general concept of unlocking stuff for "future you" ;)
I think the levels were a little too spacious which made it harder to navigate (and also probably took you longer to make).

I will definitely try to work on my level design more to improve on it for the future. Thank you for giving it a try, even though it’s not your type of game :D

very fun premise that made it fun when i was scrambling to beat the clock to grab a key last second! coulda used some repetitive acapella music tho

Developer

I agree that music and some sound effects would have been a nice addition to the game. Thanks for playing!

Had a lot of fun with this one! Loved the idea of keeping progress across loops, made each run feel meaningful. Great job!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

Great game, really enjoyed it.

You made a good game!

I really like your idea of storing the progress between looped-runs.

The only thing that I would change is to make the character a bit less slippery. Cause atm it feel a bit weird when jumping left and right quickly.

Otherwise a very good game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I will definitely keep that in mind for the next time. Thank you for playing.

I love the idea. Very similar to what I made, although a completely different genre. I like the gear parkour and the springs. It can be a little bit too hard to find where you need to go sometimes.

Developer

I agree that it can be a little confusing to find out where to go, I should have given more direction to the player. I rushed the levels a bit as I wanted to submit something to the jam. I tried to do a bit of metroidvania level design by giving you multiple paths to complete level one (by that I mean the order of the keys you collect). Thanks for playing!

this game is great.

I love the character you made, he's pretty cute!! lol This was fun, i like the mechanic of keeping your progress and then looping back. The timer seemed a little buggy at times, and shame there was no music/sounds. But a really nice game man :)

Developer

Thank you! I must say that I did not create the character and that I got it from the kenney.nl site. I was aware of the timer being buggy, but I didn’t have the time to fix it or have the time to really look at the code again to try and figure out what the issue exactly was in the jam time period. I might give it another look after the rating period has finished. Thank you for playing :D
