Really cool game, and I love the simple art style! The movement feels a little inconsistent and stiff, though~

Nice level design with the looping, but the physics for the player felt very inconsistent.

Developer

Thanks for playing, do you have any facts about squirrels?

(+1)

Some species of squirrel's brains will grow 15% (typically only male squirrels)  during the winter remember where they put their buried nuts. It'll shrink back down in the spring

Developer

I wonder how much energy it takes to grow brain cells…

Really chill game, liked the soundtrack artstyle simple levels and general vibe of the game.

Thanks for playing :)

Cool take on the theme. I think the player movement feels a bit unnatural though, I appreciate that you made the goal for each level clear avoiding confusion. Great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! And yeah, everyone agrees the movement is not right, I’ll have to look at other platformers and reference their movement physics.

its fun game. nice job

This was a fun game.

The movement is a little inconsistent at times but I had fun getting used to it. I couldnt get all the diamonds but I did go through all the levels.

Given that the movement is a little bit of a learning curve, I think it was a great idea to add it to the menu page as well so you can get used to it! Good job

Thanks for playing, hopefully see you next GMTK perhaps!

Cool concept, Difficulties from starting :)

Cool concept and even optional collectibles, I like it :)

The movement doesn't feel great however, specifically the time it takes to get your character to move, and how the jump height is inconsistent. You can't jump as high while moving towards a wall, and you jump higher if you just landed after hitting the ceiling (and you actually need to do that to get away from the diamond in level 2).

We made a platformer as well, but with a loop in time instead of space, maybe give it a try :)

Okay I just made it to the end with all the diamonds :D

What did you use to make the music?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I used Apple’s Logic Pro to make the music.
