Nice take on the theme. I do like the game as a physics based "platformer".

However, the issue for me is that the controls feel too unforgiving. It requires the player to be incredibly precise with their mouse clicks in an already difficult momentum based game. I got ok at it after trying a while, but not after feeling quite frustrated with it.

Developer

Thank you for playing!

I'll iterate and notably i'll add the tricks from GMTK's video on celeste's movement.

Thank you for the feedback!

Nice game! I couldn't get past one of the levels, but it is still fun! Could you please check out my game?

Developer

Indeed, I think I made the game a little too difficult. I'll work on it!

Thank you for playing!

I really like the momentum based movement!

Developer

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!

It took a long time to get used to the movement, but in the end I liked it.

A little more polish, and it will be a great full-fledged game.

Developer

Glad you got eventually got used to it and enjoyed it!

Thanks for playing!

This was a lot of fun, great job! Swinging around with full momentum is super satisfying. Definitely found some levels tricky but overall had a lot of fun!

Developer

Yeah in hindsight i should have made it a little bit easier but I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you for playing!

This game is Awesome! the swinging mechanics are so fun to play with, and the character movement is so fun! The game was also a tutorial, so it was easy to learn, and the difficulty progression was perfect! I'd love to see you expand on this game and make it longer. Great job! :)(:

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you for playing!

very challenging to get the momentums. Cool idea and execution, nice one.

Developer

Thank you!

Great game, the mechanic was surprisingly deep and I think you did a great job not only easing the player into it but also giving difficult levels to complete. Really well balanced, fun game!

Developer

Thank you!

Glad you enjoyed it!

very fun little game! i like the gimmick, but wasn't able to make it past the momenum climbing level; i just couldn't get quite enough speed!

i like it a lot, though. cheers!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!
Ah! yeah for that level you need to perform a sort of trick!
Here's a walk through if you're curious!

At first I was like: "where are the grapples"... but as soon as they showed up, things started to get really fun.

Developer

Glad you stuck with it long enough to meet the grapples!

Thanks for playing!

This is honeslty a really fun concept. It reminds me of stickman hook. The artstyle is simple but maybe too simple. Overall I love this game and the solutions are very clever. Reminds me of my own game lol.

Developer

Thanks for the game recommendation and for playing!

I can definitely see the resemblances between our games (you made a really cool game btw)!

Really fun game. Was stuck on the first MOMENTEMous level a bit but when I finally figured it out if felt so good. Great job!

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you figured it out!
I hope it wasn't too frustrating at first 👀

Thank you for playing!

I thought the game was super fun! I was stuck for a while on the first level when you had to build up momentum, but when I figured it out, it was a real "ah-ha!" moment. With some music and updated visuals, this could be something really cool!! Maybe the main character is a frog and you stick your tongue out onto things? I really enjoyed it -- shared it with a few friends :)

Developer

I'm glad you figured it out and enjoyed it!!!

I wasn't sure whether to put a more explicit hint like "Swing back and forth". What do you think?
How long did it take you to figure it out? Was it a bit frustrating?

Frog idea would be so cute!!! Would need to increase jump height then ahaha

Thank you for sharing!

I really like the idea, the art and animations is very good, I think you might have gone a bit overboard on the wind noises, maybe alongside a backing track they would have been better? I'm also not the biggest fan of the movement or the jumping, the movement feels super slow and then really fast all of a sudden, and the jumping feels a little underpowered.

However, when everything lines up, it really works, it feels really satisfying to move, and super flowy

Developer

Hi fellow grappling game developer!

Thank you for the feedback!
I'm thinking of continuing this project so this feedback is very valuable!
