Pretty dark twist on the concept. Each boss had its own bit of strategy and overall experience didn't overstay its welcome. Good job on this one.
thanks !
Fun loop, the first boss fight was tricky at first but I figured it out before giving up so I thought it was appropriately difficult.
thanks !
Very cute game loop! Each enemy was enjoyable to become, figure out their attacks, and fight on to the end!
thanks for your review !
cool concept !
Simple, easy to understand, i made it to the end !
thanks !
Love it! Moving up to a new level to fight new enemy reminded me a bit of OG Mortal Combat. I only made it to the 3rd level, but I could see myself coming back to finish this one. Great job!
thanks ! good job the 3rd level is the last one dont worry x)
Very good concept. I would love to see a better combat system. The art and audio fit the game very well.
thanks !
I was confused until I saw in the comments to make it fullscreen. That made it work!
I really liked needing to discover the attack patterns of each monster, and then proceeding to become that monster. My feedback is that I think either: the monsters should have less health, and/or you shouldn't restart all the way from the beginning. I kept dying before I could fully figure out how to beat each monster.
Overall good work!
thanks a lot for your feedback. Its hard to measure the difficulty because i needed to try everything so many time it not feeled that hard to me. sorry for the resolution i will change that after the jam !
Of course! Yeah I feel that, I was able to speedrun every one of our puzzles haha, and it was hard to tell difficulty without getting feedback from a friend
Great job! I really like the concept here, and think this game would also fit perfectly with one of the previous GMTK themes, 'Roles Reversed'. It's super interesting how you experimented with the idea of the player not being one set thing, but rather something that can shift between different objects/characters.
As a goal to work torward, I'd reccommending having a smoother intro into the gameplay, as it feels a bit jarring and sudden in it's current state. Make the first monster a little easier to defeat, and add more of a progressing difficulty curve to enhance engagement and provide a cleaner transition into the gameplay for the player. Also, it was a bit unclear what to do after I defeated the monster. I lumbered around a bit, tried to go back to the old room, waited, but the game didn't seem to move forward. Perhaps a little more instruction would help?
That's all I have to say. Congrats on submitting and thank you for the opportunity to play your entry! 😄
thanks a lot for your comment ! i just see my game dont have the good resolution window so you need to put it in full screen for see everything (like the door that opening when you beat a monster that maybe why you feel lost)
