Really great game! Fitting 3 minigames in a Trijam game is genuinely amazing. (And each one has its own special mechanics is exceptional)!

I don't have much to say about the art except for I am genuinely amazed. (I've played some of the Trijam games made by other students from your game design course and every one of them had amazing visuals)

Polishing could probably be a focus post-jam, but that isn't necessary. For a first game this amount of polishing is great!(uhhh for my first one I didn't do any)

Great job!

Thank you ! I'm glad my game worked so well for everyone :) I learnt a lot on the spot, now all I gotta do is learn more and improve !

This is pretty great for a first game! Congratulations!

Developer

Thank you ! Glad my first attempt was a hit :)

This is a very cute game! I liked the interpretation of the theme and the multiple trials to unlock the box. As other comments have said, the first mini-game is far more difficult than the other two but I appreciate how each trial had a different style of game play :)

I really enjoyed this game. The first minigame is hard as the others say but still fun. Would play a longer version of this with more levels.

Hey congratulations on the first game! The first minigame was hard, but when you get the strategy down on how to dodge them it is fun to beat and rewarding! I loved how it takes 3 different minigames to in theory end the game. I did have an issue with this as progressed doesn't seem saved after completing a minigame, this could be on my end though. Some visuals also were blurred and I didn't notice any audio. If I did something wrong I would love to try it again with your help!

If you have some time to spare, I would love it if you could take a look at my submission as well! If you want to continue this game then my game might be a good minigame to use!

Thank you ! indeed some assets were blurry, because i had to compress them inside the game engine itself (some ended up good looking and some weren't somehow lol). The audio is simply inexistant as well, I completely forgot about that to be honest (not that i know where and how and when to implement them anyways ahah). Thanks again for your comment ! I'll definitely have a look at your game too ! :)

I suggest looking at sites like freessound and pixabay. You can download audiofiles and music here to use in your game! Some have liscenses but the most are free to use without need for attribution.  Are you going to continue working on this game?

Developer

Thanks, i'll look into it :) To be honest i'm not sure i'll update this game any more than that, but i'll definitely try to improve on the side and maybe participating in other jams !

Hey, congratulations on your first game! loved it and I agree with Yoru, the first minigame took me a good amount of attempts to beat, specially because I suck at this kind of games in general 🤣 Hope to see you in a future jam :)

Your game is wonderful! The only thing I could say is that the first mini-game (with the head's throwing fire) is really difficult compared to the rest of the game (especially since it's the first door) but otherwise, good job! And the art is excellent ^^

Developer

Thank you, I'll definitely take notes on that and tell my lovely artist she did a good job! I wanted initially to make 3 heads, though it was definitely too hard even for me by the time i got done. I played that level so much to make sure it worked properly that I just developed my own strat and didn't think it through. Anyways, thanks again ! This has been a great experience, and I'm happy people seem to enjoy it so far :)

Yeah, balancing the difficulty is pretty difficult, that why it's always important to take into consideration the playtest of exteriors player ^^
(Also, good luck for the game design exam! :D)
