That was a fun game, the sound effects were great and made placing tiles and getting combos feel good :D I think if the current tile could be overlaid while hovering over an empty grid it would improve the experience a little bit more :)
Really good sfx, and bg music, a few bugs here and there but the game is really fun nonetheless !
The game feels surprisingly good man. The tiles' popping SFX and the chilling music in the background go so well with each other. However, it seems like the game has a bug, where if I place my tile onto the very last slot, it will automatically set game over, even though that last tile can pops, bringing even more tiles to follow it, and free up my space. This made me fail a very satisfy all 4 pop, which made me feel a bit disappointed ;)) Regardless, it's a good chilling game and I hope you do well on upcoming games too!
PS: Oh and the hitbox is just a bit off, maybe take that into account too!
Hey thanks for taking the time to play through my game!
I was aware that bug existed, I also came across it once after publishing the game but I wasn't expecting someone to find it so I left it there ahah.
Making big combos in this was really fun and the way you staggered them with their sound effects while disappearing really added to the satisfaction of big matches! This was really fun! I did find my self accidentally mixing up the current and next blocks quite often -maybe if the current block was big and the upcoming next one was much smaller it would help -also it might be really fun to show several moves ahead to try to plan way ahead for big combos! Had a lot of fun playing this one -great use of the theme and limitation -awesome work! :D
Thanks for taking the time to play my game. I'm glad you had fun!
Adding some visual feedback for the tiles you will be popping is a good idea and I'll definitely add that to the game. Thank you for the suggestion!
Fun game! The concept is pretty cool, and the sound effects really give that gamefeel to make it fun to rack up combos. The hitboxes were janky, but otherwise it was a pretty good experience. Awesome work!!
Good puzzle game! The music matches perfectly with the vibe of the game!
Really well done actually. Feels good to play and it is quite satisfying to clear a column! I think the hitboxes for placing tiles can be a bit janky sometimes as holding the cursor in the middle of a tile won't let me place it there but towards the edges or corners it will let me click. Just something to look into. Otherwise a pretty fun game! Well done. Music is nice too!
Thank you for trying my game! I'm glad you had fun playing it.
Yes, the clickable area of the box is being overlapped by its right neighbor once there is a tile in it. I need to read through unity's canvas docs again and see if I figure out a way to fix it aha
Amazing work! The gameplay loop is very fun and I had a blast with it.
Looking forward to more!
Amazing job! My high score is 1404.
The calm colors, the popping sound, and the music all help to create a relaxing environment for the player. The combo system was immaculate, I loved watching the numbers go up.
This game is enjoyable enough to be successful on its own! Not just in a jam.
really fun and intuitive, the popping sounds and UI animations made it feel really nice to get a combo going. i get the combo timer is in there to add more challenge but imo it kinda went against the intended experience of strategically placing tiles (it almost felt like a different game mode of another game i.e. speed chess).
i think the board filling up is a good and intuitive challenge and the game would have been more fun if there was more of a trade off between going for big combos and risking the board filling up/not getting the right tiles (something more like 2048). not exactly sure how to create that experience, maybe a smaller board or it being harder to create combos somehow?
i liked it a lot tho, definitely has good bones!
At first I was going for something more chill. The combo meter was a somewhat late addition, as I wanted to encourage and further reward the player for doing big combos.
I'll take into consideration your suggestion and think of ways to make it more challenging in the future!
Thank you for playing!
Ahhhh!!!! What an addictive game. Love the pooping sound, and the juicy sfx
But i think can still be improve, the UI feel not intuitive enough. there times i mistook the next block for current block, because of the order. why not swap their place, and make the current block slightly bigger? that's my suggestion.
Other than that, solid entry, I can see it up there on top 20
Thank you for playing the game! I didn't consider increasing the next block size so it is more noticeable, thank you for the suggestion on how to improve the UI!
I really liked the game. but a few tidbits (such as me mixing up the “next” and “current color” half of the time, or having the tile being difficult to click whilst having a timer on the combo meter) made the experience a bit more frustrating than I wished.
I still had a lot of fun and kept playing more ! Good job and keep it up !
I understand that the bug is frustrating and I'm sorry that it affected your experience. Despite that, thanks for giving the game a try and I'm glad to hear you had fun!
Pure casual fun. Really loved this game. The bubble popping sound and visuals are so satisfying as well, great choices.
The gameplay is fun and addicting. The implementation was greatly implemented.
Pretty fun, I reached about 7400 points. The area to click for the tiles are a bit wonky, and sometimes I could only click on the corner to place something. The game over overlay is a bit too far to the right so you could still place tiles in the leftmost column.
It could just be me, but the current tile being on bottom and the next one being on top made me keep thinking that the next tile was the one I would place.
I'm still trying to solve the bug that limits the clickable area for placing the tiles.
I didn't notice the game over overlay wasn't centered on the WebGL build, thanks for pointing it out! I've already heard a few people mention that the current tile and next tile are a bit confusing so I'll be improving that as well.
Thanks for trying my game!
I like the idea :) It was fun to figure out the strategies, the game feels very intuitive to play. I would have liked even more operators blocks spawning.
Too bad some tiles are sometimes very hard to click, only on a small area for some reason (I'm on firefox, if that matters)
Thanks for trying the game! I had planned to add the subtraction and division operators into the game, but had to cut them out because I was running out of time. I'm glad to hear you had fun!
