How does the game fit the theme?
When working on a task with a clear goal often I get distracted with "side quests" falling into a "Yak Shaving" situation. In the game, the player ends up performing a lot of side quests because nothing can go wrong, but most of the things do. The Gravity Generator breaks, the Ship gets annoyed by the amount of waste, and so on. The goal of the game is to still deliver all the yaks / cargo in the shortest amount possible, though it takes time to make it work.

The more you travel through space, the more things go wrong in the spaceship, delaying your delivery.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Some 3D Models, Some sounds, and shaders. I have credited the source and double-checked the licenses. None of the content is AI generated.

The loop is nice implemented :)

Developer

Thank you :)

The visuals and camera are very well done. I liked the bit of humor with the "yak" just getting tossed and bouncing around haha, nice job on this!

Developer

Thank you :)

I think this was a great idea. The only complaint I have with it is how my player got locked from moving and I had to read the text from the computer. Thats mainly because I'm extremely impatient, but outside of that, great work!!!

Developer

Thank you! :)

Great idea
I liked the individual tasks and the setting of the game, but doing the tasks got repetitive a bit when doing them over and over again, it might be different if every time something else breaks, or things break in a different way, which the spaceship could react to in a different way each time, would fit its sarcasm very well ^^

Developer

Ahaha thank you! Yes I agree: the tempo and amount of task was a little too much. Next time I’ll keep it shorter and cleaner.

The camera rotation and visuals are impressive. A bit laggy for me sometimes but not a problem, really enjoyed!

Thank you :)

The sarcasm of the ship made me laugh a few times! It was a nice quick game with a lot of personality to it. I like the perspective also, haven't seen many games use it so it was a nice change of pace!

Developer

I am glad you liked the personality :)

Haha what a ride! I ended up putting a cow in my engine as fuel ^^ I may have encounter one bug where fuel pops out of nowhere in the ship... Keep up the good work! Did you try Angry Shepherd?

Developer(+1)

Yes I did, :D I reviewed it too! Did you get to space a few times? :) The Yaks are actually pooping the fuel :O

Submitted

Hoooo OK! That's very funny ^^

Submitted

Interesting concept, I love the ship's personality, it made me smile.

Submitted

This games so silly :3 I loved yeeting the Yaks around and the ships ai was really cool! I love the top down aesthetic even if it was a little awkward going Left/Right on mouse! Really cool game!

The game's nice, the perspective is interesting and I loved tossing things (Yak included) around lol. I'd have liked more sound effects and maybe different songs/ambience sounds, but the current sound is very nice

Developer

Thank you!

Good game! I enjoyed repairing and refueling the ship. I missed some sounds, I don't know which ones)

Developer

Thank you! Ahah did you manage also to destroy the used-poop on the other trips? :P

Submitted

I feel my camera shaking and the characters can't turn. Is this a bug?

Developer(+1)

Probably! Weird :O Have you tried with a different browser or with one of the native builds?

Submitted(+1)

That's a cool game concept. I enjoyed picking up the bison and watching the physics. Camera angle was good too. Great job!

Developer

Thank you :)

Hello, the concept of the game is interesting, but unfortunately, it lacks a lot of sounds, which could enhance the experience. That being said, the game seems very well coded since I didn’t encounter any bugs, so bravo!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Next time I will focus on sounds more :)

I loved the concept of the game! I loved moving the yaks around, it felt fun. But I didn't feel challenged by transporting myself through space. For a moment I thought I was going to run out of fuel and I would have to do something, but that wasn't the case.

Developer

eheh Thank you :)

I love the Art,the gameplay,Sound too,nice idea.All in one very nice game !

Developer

Thank you! Did you manage to visit space a few times?

I liked the strange concept of the game, I thought to myself "If space travel becomes cheap enough, transporting animals between planets makes sense". I just couldn't keep up with the repetitiveness of the game. I felt that it was well written and everything, but changing fuel is not fun and also not challenging, a timer and alarms would have helped make it more satisfying. The same with getting the cargo, it was fun that is bounced around, but getting it had no challenge, it would have been fun to chase the yaks around or maybe throw something at them to knock them out before grabbing them. The camera movement being locked to where the player is seeing I think it was a mistake, you should have made the character face the mouse cursor.

Pretty complex game to make for a game jam.

Developer

Thank you :D I appreciate the feedback! Did you manage to go to space multiple times and see the other things going wrong?

Submitted

No! I will revisit the game and give you more feedback!

I finished the game, the other tasks are also pretty repetitive and don't have any challenge to them.

I love the title! I saw it and was like 👀👀👀 I have to check it out. I think using Q and E for rotation is a little awkward cause it’s hard to press it and move at the same time. The objects having physics allowing them to be pushed around is a nice touch. The animation for the staircase is really neat! Sound effect for picking stuff up is so funny, but there could be some background music for ambience. Having the instructions up top is good, makes it clear what to do. I think it would be nice to be able to insert fuel while facing away cause its awkward to turn around. Good use of lighting around the ship to make it feel sci-fi. Refueling was a unique interaction, but got a bit repetitive after a while. I think adding some animation or feedback to the task would have made it more fun. In the end I took 1090.95499992371 seconds to finish the mission.

I hope my feedback wasn’t too harsh, I really did enjoy the quirky quality of the game. It was refreshing and unique, despite the occasionally clunky feeling of the controls. I really liked the premise and the absurdity of it all. Overall great job with it!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing, and yes I have not prioritized at all those things that you mentioned, they would have improved a lot. Next time I’ll save some time for it too :) Your feedback is not harsh at all, I need this kind of comments to learn what to improve :) thx again

Anyway: I am glad you took 1090 seconds 🤣 faster than most!

Played and rated! That was.. bizarre lol

Some cool concepts, refueling and managing the ship was good, the yaks rolling around the cargo bay made me laugh, but the camara felt a bit weird

Developer

Thank you :)

It was an interesting concept! Only flaws i faced were some mild lag spikes every now and then. Besides that it would be nice if the player model turned to wherever the player was moving! would be a nice touch. Overall very decent game!

Developer

Thank you! Did you manage to make a few trips to space? :)
