The Spray Painting was very fun the contest was hard at the end but I loved it. Perfect 5 Stars

I liked how the boss was mean at the beginning and how he kept getting kinder after each painting. I loved the story and the plot twist at the end was fantastic. 5 Stars

thank you for finishing the game. Im happy you enjoyed it

It did not quite click for me, felt more tedious than fun. Would love to see more of the story and how it relates to the theme, but the boss is quite mean every time I get a couple pixels off. I think I'd chalk this up to great execution, mediocre concept.

Developer

yeha I get what you mean. I realised too late that the difficulty is not for everyone. also the boss being mean was just a joke because later on he gets like kinder and stuff and like it's all story related

I found the art pretty tedious but I wish I could see the rest of the story. It's a fun idea just time consuming and really rough to restart if you make a small mistake. It might be a good idea to not reset the canvas on a failed submit, so we can edit it to match better

Developer

thanks for playing. and I get you I realised too late that not everyone sees this game as easy or possible. and I regret it cuz It took me so long on the story and I actually think it's good. but it's too late for that

I think the hardest part about jams is balancing the difficulty with the actual gameplay. For most people just checking out the game, having to do the pixel art probably feels just a bit too time consuming unless they are already invested. You should come back after the voting period and add in a few ways to make it easier to see the story since you worked hard on it.

I had some of my friends and family play and watching them try was painful and a but funny so if I were to ever revamp this I would probably make it more like a drawing tutorial for the first couple of levels

Nice concept and story! I didn't get far because recreating the image pixel-perfect was quite tedious, but i liked the overall idea

Developer

thanks for playing! also it doesn't have to be perfect but for the first levels the mistake range is kinda low so it kinda does have to be perfect... idk I didn't know pixel art drawing isn't as easy as it is for others

It seems that you can't paint the wall under the top left message but still, I enjoyed your game!! :)
