Really charming game! Each of the two sections was short but sweet. I would have preferred more control over the character in the restaurant section (i.e., movement with arrow keys), but the current implementation works fine, and I'm sure it was a bit easier to develop. :)
I also loved the watercolor background in the platformer section! What a creative way to get a distinct visual feel.
Interesting combination of two games.
I prefered the restaurant game but it's very impressive to make 2 games in a jam. Good work !
Congrats on doing such a complete game alone ! Also I liked the artstyle 😄
Love the watercolor background :D
Really impressed by the ambitious scope of the game. Some neat level design ideas in the platformer and the restaurant was fun (could have used some UX around the burgers and how to build them, had to click around a bunch to figure out the order of operations. Love the water color background in the platformer!
Wow, this is two games! That is impressive. Both games were straightforward to figure out how to work, though I must say, I had a lot more fun at the restaurant figuring out how to make the thing customers wanted. Maybe if I worked very hard and made lots of money I could buy the spaceship parts instead of doing the platformer?
Note: The gravity reverse button is very difficult to see, and the timer in the restaurant as well.
Huge respect for building two games during a jam, especially solo, that’s impressive.
The concept is solid and well executed.
A few checkpoints in the platforming parts could improve the pacing and flow.
Nice work! I’d love to hear your thoughts on our game as well if you get the chance.
I really enjoyed the restaurant game! It was fun to play and easy to figure out. I could play that forever! The platformer was little tricky with the jump distance, but it was a nice challenge! However, I fail to see how these two games connect besides the character being the same. Very impressive to complete 2 games in one, especially for 1 person! Congrats on the game(s)!
Great idea with two completely different game mechanics combined to repair the ship. Would be nice if there were checkpoints in the platformer, but it doesnt matter that much as its not that hard and pretty short. Good job!
This was actually a pretty cool concept. The whole 2-1 game idea is ambitious for a jam, and it's neat that you have to complete both sides to win. Kind of gave me a light Dave-the-Diver type of feel, with the split gameplay loop stuff. Fun stuff.
I got through the platforming part and managed to collect the 3 ship pieces. Some of the mechanics, like gravity shifting and scale changes. I wasn't too sure what the green triangles did, but I knew I needed it to reach the last ship part. Was it wall jumping? Because that's what I did after grabbing one of them.
I honestly had more fun once I figured out the restaurant side. Realizing you had to click into the states to start cooking, filling juice, etc., made it click for me; from there, it was pretty enjoyable. That part especially feels like it could be expanded into something bigger with more depth. A tiny bit of onboarding or a quick visual hint would probably help new players understand what to do faster. Nothing huge, just something to reduce initial confusion.
It was fun to figure out how to cook without instructions! It actually kind of felt like I was trapped in an alien kitchen and they expected me to understand what was going on, but I was clueless and bumbling.
Two games instead in one? Very nice :d Both games do not really blend together, they are entirely separate, but thats ok. You really have to zoom in the page to be able to see anything lol :D
The platformer mechanics where a bit clunky from time to time, but I managed to play through all the levels and repair my ship.
Amazing job, two games in one week, that’s crazy :D
Two games in one? Damn! I liked the restaurant a lot. It was a solid game :D
Now this is a deal. 2-for-1. Both games were cool! It seemed like original art, which is awesome! I wish I was able to play in full screen, because I think there's some interesting art. A little polish I think would've taken this to the next level! I had fun though! There might be a bug in the platformer part. When I got hit by an alien, sometimes I'd hear what I think was the death sound, but not actually die. I found the platformer hard but more fun! Good job!
