Naruto 453 & Shippuuden 115: Crack and WTF all the way!
Hello, kids, time for the weekly dose of Naruto, eh? XDD Let's start with the anime, shall we?
I've been waiting for this ep for over a year! Ever since I saw Suigetsu in the manga. And fiiinally, after two giganimous filler blocks and a crapload of boring canon, here comes the water-boy)))
The pre-OP scene was cool! XDD They showed a lot more skin in the manga actually, but I never expected much in the anime. His voice sounds brilliant, kind of what I was hoping for. His looks, overall, are great. He really does look kind of young here, feels weird))) When Suigetsu appeared in the manga, I was sure he was older than Sasuke, at least by a few years. The anime does make him look more like 16. Though the hair could be longer...))))
The "cowboy" music that played throughout this ep fits these two so much! Really, so badass! XDD The scene with Suigetsu swimming in some pool in the middle of the road really cracked me up.
The Great Naruto Bridge scene could have been done way better! In the manga, Sasuke was showing a tiny smile and I'm 100 % sure he was thinking of Naruto himself, not just that fight.
I must confess I was very much surprised when this ep turned out to be half a filler. But it was so cracky that I couldn't help but laugh all the time))) Since my version of canon is strictly the manga only, this ep probably didn't happen for me, but it was fun to watch anyway. The behaviour of both guys is so much like my own personal fanon! Sasuke even revealed his manipulative streak! XDD
So... They were off to find the sword and for a second I was like: What the hell? Someone will recognize Sasuke! We've just seen Tazuna and Inari in the manga and we know for sure they have no idea what happened to Sasuke; so why this all of a sudden? First they reveal Pain's face ahead of time, now this? Thankfully, both Tazuna and Inari were out of town))
The entire female population of Port City fangirling Sasuke - that was fun))) Suigetsu devouring yogurt = LOL! I think the Databook III mentioned it as his fav food but I don't think it was ever shown in the manga.
The conversation about Sasuke's goal made me squeal happily. Again, smth they could have talked about in my fanon. Smth along the lines of: "You're not gonna conquer the world, are you?" - "I'm aiming for smth much bigger." - "Now if anyone else said that I'd have laughed, but with you, I actually believe it" XDD God, I love this moment!!!!
Also, with the fangirls: way to go, Sui, for using Sasuke to get info on the Head Cleaver! XDDDD I couldn't breathe past laughter)))
Then, of course, there's some filler OC who has this sword and makes some nasty rumours about how he'd killed Zabuza and taken the sword for himself. So what does Sasu-chan do? He breaks into his house and "warns" him to gather as many men as he can b/c smn's about to attack him))) And then he drags Sui into a bet as to who gets the sword first. God, I ROFLed. Little testing bitch! XDD
The scene with Tenzen was funny too, esp. when he started screaming it was Sasuke who killed Zabuza and Sui burst out laughing. I was half-expecting him to say, "Oh man, you don't even know how right you are!" And Sasuke tossing Sui his water bottle = sweet)))
Finally, another "talk": Sui blabbering and Sasuke just being his usual quiet self))) "We're gonna take the nearest route, that's what you'd say, right?" - "..." - "See? I'm starting to figure you out!" - "...We're gonna take the nearest route."
OH GOD... Hold me, I'm a happy fangirl!!!!! They totally found each other)))) I have no idea what the hell Kishi has in mind for this team, but I'd love to see Sasuke keep them))) They're perfect for him. Misfits like him. Weird but tentatively bonding.
Karin next ep. Should be fun too))) Will that be a filler, I wonder? And gimme Juugo, quickly! XDDD
The manga, however, is far from nice. I'm satisfied with this chapter, but my issues with Sasuke in that timeframe are growing.
Smn, pls, remind me why Hawk joined the Akatsuki? No, seriously, I can't figure that out! Why did they have to catch the Eight-Tails at all? Looks like there's nothing in it for them, and now that they want to leave Madara says he'll kill them if they betray the Akatsuki. Seriously, wtf? Another wtf-moment is Sasuke decision to "kill the kages". What, all of them??? What the hell did they ever do to you, kid? That's a big step down from smn who forbade Suigetsu so much as to think of chopping ppl up for the lulz. I sincerely hope he's acting out a role for Madara or smn else...
He said, "Heh," when they mentioned Naruto's huge victory of Pain. Is that a good sign? Sure as hell hope so...
LOOOOVE the Cloud nins! Love their dedication to Killer Bee and love Naruto's decision to help them! Just as I hoped he would! <3 What I didn't like, however, was Sakura crying over Sasuke. I do understand that she's been under a lot of stress lately and she's only human... but somehow, since it's specifically Sasuke she started crying over, it kind of sets her character development back. Maybe it's just me, but she's much stronger than that))) Love the female Cloud nin's response so)))Btw dammit, I should finally memorize their names)))
Yay for Gaara and his siblings back in action! I've been waiting for them too.
All in all, things are still being weird. I don't want to be disappointed in Sasuke again (I had a major collapse of faith when he'd announced he wanted to destroy Konoha), so he'd better have a damn good motivation for acting like that! Little dumbfuck))) He needs Naruto to brainwash him as thoroughly as he'd brainwashed Nagato!
