vulgar slang To have sex or receive oral sex. Typically said of a male ("knob" is a vulgar slang term for the penis). If Brett didn't come home last night, I bet it's because he got his knob polished. Did you seriously expect to get your knob polished on our first date? Come on, man.

dated A rounded knob mounted to the steering wheel of an automobile so that it may be steered with one hand. So called because the driver (typically male) is able to place his arm around his girlfriend or wife. My grandfather gave me his old Cadillac, which still had the necker's knob on the wheel from when he first started courting my grandmother.

An expression used to both reciprocate and intensify a sentiment, usually an insult, said by someone else. (The phrase "with (brass) knobs on" is used generally to indicate a much more extreme form of something.) Primarily heard in UK. A: "Your team stinks, and I hope they lose!" B: "Oh yeah? Well, same to you with knobs on!" A: "You're the dumbest twit I've ever met." B: "And the same to you with brass knobs on!"

necking knob

A swivel on a car's steering wheel. The necking knob enables the driver to steer with his left hand while encircling his girlfriend's shoulder with his right arm. Even when the driver was alone, the knob was an easy way to turn the car in the days before power steering.
