crow about
crow about (something)
1. Literally, to squawk, as of a rooster. What is that rooster crowing about now? It's not even daylight yet! Any chance we can train the rooster to only crow about daybreak? Because he can sure make a ruckus at other times in the day! Sometimes, the roosters will annoy each other in their coop, and then they start crowing about that and annoying us!
2. By extension, to brag or boast about something. You know, no one likes it when you go around crowing about your successes in business. Wait, after all that crowing about what a good swimmer he is, Brian didn't win the swim meet? Ha, that's great! Don't invite Joe to lunch unless you want to hear him crow about all the important things he's doing in his new job.
