Dumb, stupid, or obstinate. Looks like I'm pulling on a door that's clearly marked "push"—what a boneheaded thing to do! A: "I can't believe you put a pizza in the oven for 30 minutes without first turning it on." B: "Yeah, that was pretty boneheaded of me." Well, that was boneheaded—I went all the way down to that restaurant, only to be reminded that they are closed on Mondays.
