2. To exist, be relevant, or have significance, usually specified by a particular period of time. Yes, I'm still around after all these years. 3. To socialize with or have close physical proximity to somebody. I just feel safer when you're around. John is so pleasant to be around. Those two are just around each other too much, that's why they bicker constantly.
