1. God or Jesus Christ, being the only witness whose consideration of one's actions matters. I don't care what other people think of me. I live my life according to my faith and for an audience of one. Only God can judge me, so I don't care what the critics have to say. All that matters is an audience of one. She's just being a bully. 2. A single person for whom some message or performance is meant or delivered. The activist group says that while its new campaign can be appreciated by and shared among the world at large, it has an audience of one—the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. All of my poetry is a conversation of sorts with my late son, and having an audience of one in this way has always helped provide a focus for my writing. A: "Yikes, that play was certainly critical of the author's father." B: "Yeah, I definitely got the impression that it was written for an audience of one."
