In my 2016 book, The Real Internet of Things, I predicted that digital agents, artificial intelligence, and the reshaping of work would become the defining forces of our time. All three are now accelerating faster than most expected, which forced me to ask myself a simple question: Am I actually ready for where this is going?
Human 3.0 is my answer. I built it as a personal system to assess my own weaknesses and systematically fill the gaps—a framework for preparing myself for a completely different way of living and working. After sharing the system with friends and colleagues, they kept asking if they could use it too. What follows is the program for making that system available to others.

We were trained to be workers, not creators.
For thousands of years, young people have been taught a poisonous idea: that most people exist to help special people do special things. Even our so-called modern education system promises us jobs if we just get good grades and check all the boxes—our reward will be helping someone important build their dreams.
This is the operating system of Human 2.0—where most people's worth is measured by how well they sit within a hierarchy designed to help the very top. AI is just forcing the issue. The knowledge work that defined Human 2.0 success is being automated. Those who built their identity around being useful to the corporate machine will face an existential crisis when the machine no longer needs them.
But this crisis is also an opportunity—if we're willing to upgrade our mental model of what it means to be human.
