Fred and George Weasley

Name: Melissa
Age: 17
Gender: Female

1. If you looked into the Mirror of Erised what would you see? Why?
I had to think about this question really hard, and what are my priorities and life ambitions, and take into consideration what would happen to make me happy. Every since I was 7 I wanted to be an interior designer, and ever since then I've strived to do everything I can to get closer and closer to that goal. But, would that really make me happy? Of course it'll make me happy, but I don't care about it as much as I care about my family. No matter how important my future is, I care about my family more. The one thing that would truely make me happy would be to see my mother and father back together, happily married again, and that's what I would see in the Mirror of Erised.
2.Who do you think you most relate to in any of the books? Why?
Coincidently, the one character I cannot stand in the books I relate to the most, Harry Potter. I strongly stand up for all of my friends, no matter what the cost and no matter who or what. I also seem to jump into things without thinking first, causing me to use my "natural instincts" to keep my head straight and focused. I'm a procrastinator, which you see Harry doing a lot in the fifth book, I tend to brush some things aside till the last moment when it's just this mess of.. well, something. I also keep my dignity, I do not like showing people that can get to me, like they touched a nerve.
3. What makes you continue to wake up every morning? What do you feel is your purpose in life? What makes you who you are? Explain.
I wake up every morning for my family, I wake up for my dad, my mom, and my twin sister. I wake up for my life, and theirs. I wake up for my friends, and for other people whom I might help later on in life or become a part of theirs. I believe I have already found my purpose in life, art. I live for art, it keeps my blood flowing and my imagination sparking. I want to touch people with my art and move them, I want to know that I've made a difference in life. That's why I wake up.
4. Who is your favorite teacher? Why?
My favorite teacher has got to be McGonagall, she has a sense of dignity and order to her, which I like. If you help run a school like Hogwarts, you'll need to have the order characteristic, and not only that but strict. I feel she does a good job keeping students in check, and also treats them fairly.
5. What teacher do you dislike? Why?
Umbridge, no questions asked. She's so.. rotton, there really is no words to describe her. It felt like she wasn't only abusing rules and the fact she was a teacher, but she playing favorites and was overall a very unfair teacher.
6. What class would you do the best in? Which would you do worst in? Why?
I believe I would do the best in charms, I feel like I could grasp these cspells better than, say, transfiguration. You aren't morphing animals into things, like transfiguration, you're just doing spells you can use in everyday life. Potions i think I would do the worse in, not only because it resembles cooking, but the directions and ingrediants can get so complicated, and I can't even bake a cake.
7. You're faced with a boggart in Defense Against the Dark Arts class. What form does it take? Why do you fear this above anything else?
My twin sister, lieing on the floor dead much like Mrs. Weasley and her sons. My twin sister is so much a part of me, like she's literally my other half. We both have a huge understanding with eachother, and a sixth sense. I feel like without my sister, I'll have nothing, and if she was dead, a part of me would die too.
8. Who is your favorite character in the series? What makes them so special to you? Explain.
My favorite character are the Weasley twins. Their mischief and humor always gives me a good laugh, and I feel that Hogwarts wouldn't be the same without them. Much like how Filtch reacted to their departure, it wasn't really the same anymore. Every school has a prankster, it's almost a law, and Hogwart's has two, which is special. They pratically made history in Hogwarts when they left.
9.Would you enter your name into the Goblet of Fire? Why or why not?
Personally, I wouldn't, eternal glory and money is great and all, but not for me. I'm not willing to risk my life just for money and fame, afterall it's just money, it cannot buy me happiness. I would rather live and be poor, but be happy and have a lot of friends then dead and famous.
10. If you could go back and tell a younger version of yourself one thing, what would it be? Why?
I'd tell myself things would get better. My parent's often got into fights when I was young which left me feeling hopeless and alone most of my younger years, so I could never really enjoy that time. Now that I'm older and everything is over and done with, I realize that life will get better for me. So, I only want to tell my youngerself that things would get better, so I can enjoy my childhood.
11. How would you spend your free time around Hogwarts? Why?
I'll either spend my free time exploring the castle, enjoying a good book in my common room, or hanging out with friends in the open air. I doubt I'll be one for flying, I hate heights and the fact that the only thing keeping me from falling to the ground is a stick is sort of unerving to me, I would never be able to fly. I'd also be a good idea to join some of the clubs and -ahem- secret organizations, like the DA.
12. Do you think Hermione’s idea of S.P.E.W was a good idea? Why or why not? Would you have supported her?
It's kind of hard to say if it is or isn't. I believe this was different than slavery, as houseelves do like being treated that way and hate the idea of freedom, as apposed to African Americans who hated it. It seems that Houseelves only purpose in life is being so-called "slaves", and if they enjoy it, why take that away? The only house elf we see that hates it was Dobby, who was treated cruelly, but we cannot assume that all house elves were treated that way.
13. What person, dead, alive, or fictional, do you admire most? What makes you look up to them? How have they affected your personality? Explain.
The one person that has moved me the most was Walt Disney, just because when he had nothing and others were saying he would fail, he kept going on and created one of the biggest 'empires' today. When he started Disneyland other amusement park owners always brought him down, thinking he would never do it and would fail miserably, some even gone as far as to give him false information, as if it mattered. Today, those owners lost everything, yet Walt Disney's legacy still goes on. And not only that, he created Disneyland for children, there was finally a place for children to go and enjoy themselves with their family. Hopefully Walt Disney's determination and kindliness inspires someone like it has me.
14. What makes a person respectable? Why?
I think a person can only be respectable if they think of others, if they do things for others, not just themselves. Putting others in front of you is almost looked down upon in society today, but I don't think it's bad, I think people who do that have a big heart and are courageous. People like that should be heros, not people who are willing to bring people down just so they can reach the top.
15. Name the characteristics you have in common with each House.
Gryffindor: Bravery, sacrficing for friends, strong-willed
Hufflepuff: Loyal and trustworthy, open-minded
Ravenclaw: Smart, understanding, very realistic.
Slytherin: Charm, wittiness perhaps.
16. Who referred you to hogwartsorting or how did you find us?
Uh, the divinations teacher, I think >< I dunno, it was late at night and I only know her aim screen name, she'll know who she is.
