Hoggiewarts

Sorry I've been so inactive lately! I've had bronchitis, as well as having exams, so hoggiewarts kind of got pushed to the side for a while.

Also, I know I didn't post the Duelling Club thing when I said I would and there are two reasons for this which I think I should explain. The first is that I was sick then as well (just for something different... Yes, I get sick a lot *beats immune system with a stick*). But I've also realised a bit more recently that I don't think the club would get the opportunity to go anywhere. We don't have many Slytherins who would get involved (Evan and Severus wouldn't participate, at least not at this point in time anyway, and I know Vera decided not to go) and I just could not imagine any of it playing out because of this. Bellatrix would be the only character to get really interested and it made the club seem pointless.
I'm sorry if you don't think these are good reasons. I just felt that the idea was in good in theory, but because of various reasons it wouldn't work in practice.
BUT, if anyone does still wants to go ahead with the Dueling Club, let me know.

hoggiewarts is now officially closed, folks. After 4+ years, the decision to actually shut down took me a few weeks to come to terms with but seeing as I've only had one objection from a member of the community, it's obviously time for this to be happening. Perhaps it's a bit overdue considering the utter lack of enthusiasm from everybody, including myself.

I really can't explain to you all what running this comm has meant to me over the years. I've met a bunch of great people and some who aren't so great. We've had fun and we've gone through dry spells together. I'd really like to thank Amy who stuck around with me for the longest. She's been here for almost the entire time the comm has been open and even with all her other obligations to herself and her school work, she's always stuck with it.

I consider everybody in this comm my friend and I hope that it's mutual and I hope that we keep in touch now that this is over. Pretty much all of you are on my personal LJ's friend's list and please be aware that if you remove me, I will continue to stalk you. :)

Again, thanks to everyone who stuck with it and even a few of you who didn't and thanks for making these past four years so eventful and reinforcing the idea that I never want to moderate a RPG community again.
