Draco's fingers twitched but he stayed at his post. "I still want you," Potter continued, "I could have loved you, if we had a new beginning. But you've chosen the wrong side. I'll have to kill you, eventually."
Draco left the room, shaken. He had told no one about his brief … attraction, nor about his doubts. How had Potter known?
"What's wrong with him?" he snapped at Avery, who was standing guard by the stairs.
"We gave him too much veritaserum," Avery said, smiling nastily. "Why? Truth too much for you, Malfoy?"
