guitarg33ks unite!

so i'm thinking i'm gonna get one of those ibanez jet kings the jtk1.
they retail for 299 and since i work at an unnamed major music store chain i can get it way cheaper.

it looks to be a great peice, espically since i don't like ibanez but honstly i've never HEARD an ibanez that did'nt sound good. some didnt feel so great, but we'll see.

has anyone actually played one?

I am going to be buying my first electric guitar. I find that I need a slim-necked guitar, being that my fingers are relatively short. I'm not very interested in playing a Fender. They sound great, but I'm no fan of the looks.

A Gibson of some sort is what I have been looking at, but I find that the necks of these guitars are far too thick for my small hands.

For the record, I've found that Godin guitars are the ideal mix or awesome sound, look and slim-neck; however, I would still like to keep my options open.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

I should mention that this isn't my first guitar. I've been playing acoustically for more than a year and feel that it is time that I move to electric so I can continue to improve my speed. I'm geared towards lead parts, as I am capable of playing fast lead, and mostly gravitate towards punk, rock, and blues. Money is _not_ an issue. I'm quite serious about playing and am looking to spend between $1000-2000 just on my guitar.
