MOD POST: Let's Celerate!
I want to celebrate the fact that the GuidedAxe Tumblr has grown to 100 followers and the fact that this community actually has posting members. This comm sat empty, but set up, for quite some time before I found more ways to get the word out. I tried the traditional LJ ways of promo comms, but those yielded no results at all. So, I went out for affiliates and didn't get very far either.
It was only when I started posting links where I felt it was appropriate, like my AO3 profile page that I hadn't ever set up and in the comments of one of my posted fics on AO3 that folks started to show up. I started the GA Tumblr to drum up more interest, because most of the AL:VH fandom folks I knew were hanging out over there with no clue that an LJ comm existed.
So, here we are, an LJ comm, a Tumblr, a DeviantArt account, and a whole lot of Abery love to go around.
To honor our fandom's growth, I'd like to propose a fic/art/mix/video/etc exchange. I'd like to see more fiction, art, fan mixes, meta, and other types of fandom fun being posted here. I would love to see more comments and more interaction between our members. And the only way that would happen is if we make it happen.
So, would anyone be interested in such a venture? The exchange will all run from the LJ comm, because it'll be easier for me to keep up with everything. After the reveals are posted, everyone is encouraged to post at will wherever they wish.
Once I know whether people are interested and how many people would like to participate, I can draw up the fest rules and dates and such.
