Hello , this is Edres Al Ali, I am organizing this for my friend Firas Majed in Gaza. Due to local banking restrictions, I will withdraw the funds to my account in Belgium and transfer them directly to Firas via Western Union or MoneyGram to purchase immediate supplies.
Firas' words:
In all the noise of life .. let my daughter's little voice reach you.
Please help my family survive what remains in Gaza.
Your donation is not just helping one child; it is keeping 11 human beings alive in one tent.
Our Family consists of :
1-Firas Majed - Father
2-Amal Adel - Mother .
3-Rokayah - Daughter 4 years old.
4-Majed - Son 3 years old .
and my extended family my parents, siblings (3 adults,2 minors)
Life here has become nearly unbearable. As a father, nothing breaks me more than watching my family suffer while I stand helpless, unable to protect them. I used to be the one who provided for my family, fulfilling all their needs and every simple wish they had. I was their source of comfort and security. We once had a beautiful home, a stable job, and a life filled with dignity and routine .. things I never imagined could disappear so quickly. But today, I can barely offer my children the basics of survival. The contrast between who I was and who this war has forced me to become tears me apart.
Watching my children grow up in a war, deprived of so many things I once wished I could easily give them breaks something inside me every single day. For Rokaya’s birthday, all she wished for was a simple pancake, yet even that small joy cost more than we could afford. I’ve lost count of the nights we went to sleep without a proper meal, pretending everything was fine so the children wouldn’t worry. These moments… these details… they cut straight to my core as a father.
We have no income, no work, and no way to secure even the most basic necessities. Food and clean water-things every parent should be able to provide- have become nearly impossible to find. Essential foods have vanished: no eggs, no chicken, no meat, no dairy, no vegetables ..not even diapers for the little ones. And on the rare days when a few vegetables appear in the market, their prices are five to twenty times higher than normal .. completely out of reach.
Rokaya is now at the age where she should be in preschool.
She spends her days pretending to be a teacher, holding a stick like a chalk, arranging her toys as students, and asking when she will finally get to go to school. It breaks my heart every time she’s ready to learn, ready to explore, ready to have a real childhood, but the war has taken even that simple dream away from her.
Her mother and I do everything we can to teach her at home so she doesn’t fall behind, but no parent should have to replace a school with a tent, or pretend that this is normal. We just want her and her brother to have the chance to be children again.
Every attempt to find something for my children feels like a battle I am losing. Even transportation to search for supplies drains the little strength and hope we have left. I never imagined I would struggle this hard just to keep my family alive.
Alongside our small family of four , we are also trying to support our relatives a family of seven who are living under the same harsh conditions. Thousands of families here have been displaced repeatedly, losing the ability to provide food, water, clothing, and basic necessities. With income sources cut off and prices skyrocketing, surviving has become a daily battle fought without tools.
Before this war, we lived a normal life. We had a home where we dreamed our children would grow up in safety. One strike destroyed everything. It wasn’t just a house it was a lifetime of memories, built over years of hard work and hope. Now, nothing remains.
A glimpse of our Daily Struggles:
- Lack of Clean Water: Access to safe drinking water is a daily struggle (50€).
All of us got diseases because of drinking contaminated water.
- The Cold Tent: Our temporary shelter offers no protection from winter, getting soaked from the rain and we lack sufficient Blankets (50€–100€) , tarp (100€).
- Food Scarcity: Eggs, chicken, meat, dairy, vegetables, and diapers are almost impossible to find. Prices are prohibitively high, making even basic essentials nearly unattainable (150–200€ weekly).
- Difficult and Expensive Transportation: Traveling to get aid or necessities is extremely difficult (50–100€).
- No Income: All sources of livelihood have completely stopped.
Campaign Goals:
• Provide clothing, blankets, and essential winter necessities for our family.
• Ensure consistent access to food and clean water for our family (4 people) and our relatives (7 people).
• Purchase critical items that have become extremely scarce here, such as eggs, meat, chicken, dairy, vegetables, and diapers for the children.
• Contribute to rebuilding our lives and restoring a part of the home we lost.
• And if possible, use a portion of the funds to secure a safer and more stable life for our children including the chance to travel to Egypt, where we can finally find safety, stability, and the possibility of starting over.
Your support doesn’t just change a moment in our lives
it changes the future of my two little children. It gives us the chance to stand again after losing everything. Your donation becomes warmth on a cold night, food on an empty table, and a small piece of childhood restored to kids who have seen far too much.
It brings us safety, dignity, and hope things we can’t secure on our own anymore. And with your help, we will also extend support to other struggling families around us, because no one here should face this pain alone.
We will share regular updates and make sure every euro is used directly to keep our family alive and rebuild what we can. From the deepest place in my heart, thank you to everyone who chooses to help us. Please, if you cannot donate, SHARE this link. Your share might reach the person who can save us.
Even a single euro can make a difference. Your 1€ donation helps provide food, clean water, or essential items for my children and family in Gaza.
Forever Grateful for all of you
