Question about Jiro's hairstyle ^__^//

Hello, a friend asked (in another Plastic Tree community) something about Jiro's style, I just don't know a lot about Jiro's hairstyle, so I wanted to ask you and hope you can help me and my friends. Thanks a lot in advice.

Question:
I'm not an anime or manga fan at all. But I remember reading somewhere that Jiro from Glay, when he used to style his hair in white spikes, modelled himself after an anime/manga character. Does anyone know what character that was?
