In the demo game, potions don't seem to do anything. I've tried to heal Yeximon both during and outside battle, and nothing happens.

Good to know. (owo)-b I assume editing/recolouring/splicing your sets is okay, too?
As for suggestions, I have a few ideas that I think would be cool/useful to me and other game-makers:
- Seaside and coastal set, for making beaches/undersea maps;
- Swamp and marsh set, with a foggy, mossy, decayed look;
- Horror/creepy set with graves, skulls, haunted house elements;
- Modern interior/exterior sets to match the modern items in the icon sets (RTP is very generic fantasy medieval flavoured).
Thanks for the link. I'll try the video series, but text tutorials are more accessible to people with hearing/auditory processing issues (in general - yours seem to be subtitled with music, which is good, but only two lines of text at a time is still an issue), and issues around absorbing/retaining information. It's easier to read a paragraph of text at your own pace than re-wind and re-watch the same part of a video over and over. Especially when you need to copy blocks of text like event coding.
I don't want to seem ungrateful or anything, and I know it's all hard work, but it's nice to have options when your brain doesn't get on with the video format.
I've been reading the tutorials posted on the blogspot and I've noticed some issues.
- Under the guide for clueless people, it says follow the list from top to bottom - but the third item, Player Melee, cites the tenth item, Enemy Collision. It makes it really hard to follow along as it's referencing things I haven't done yet.
- Some of the topics, like Creating Pits And Platforms and Creating UI For HP, Mana, And Experience, are literally empty.
- The Discord invite doesn't work (though that could be a problem on my end).
