The Gex Pin Badge is a butterfly clutch pin that was used to promote the launch of Gex on the PlayStation and SEGA Saturn. The pins were never sold to the general public, and were only available at trade shows and conventions. These were likely worn by employees or given out to attendees. While the pins were made in the United States, they don't appear to be U.S. exclusive. Some pins have been made available for purchase in Europe. This means that either these pins made their way to Europe retroactively, or they were available at European trade shows and conventions to promote the game's launch.

Trivia
- Based on the images available, it appears there are slight alterations between the regional pins. Pins available in the United States simply have "MADE IN USA" engraved on the back (see first "pin back" image), while U.K. pins have an oval "MADE IN USA" logo engraving (see second "pin back" image). It's also possible that this has nothing to do with region, and is due to each pin's release (i.e. they could have been available at different trade shows/conventions, and this small change was made in between each pin's production).
