Spencer Thomas enters his first year as director and fourth year in the Sports Performance and Analytics Division. Previously working as an Athletic Trainer for various sports at UF since 2006. Thomas leads a role focused on performance identification, injury risk and reduction, and holistic development with the various disciplines within the Sports Health & Performance Department. In addition to working with numerous Olympic sports on campus, Thomas has current collaborations with the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering and College of Health and Human Performance.

Thomas, a graduate of the University of Connecticut (‘05) earned a BS in athletic training and a MS in Athletic Training at the University of Florida (‘10)

Thomas is a member of the National Athletic Training Association, College Athletic Trainers Association, and National Strength and Conditioning Association. A native of Connecticut, Thomas enjoys exercise, spending time with family, traveling, and home projects.
