Ranon Teller
Ranon Teller is a passionate spiritual leader and the senior rabbi at Congregation Brith Shalom in Houston. With a unique background in television writing, blues music, and Jewish education, Ranon has shaped his rabbinic career through creativity, deep learning, and community engagement. Raised in a family steeped in Orthodox Jewish tradition, Ranon's spiritual journey led him from Orthodox yeshiva studies in Israel to exploring alternative Jewish spiritual paths. His love for music, particularly blues, and his work in television writing enriched his ability to lead creative and soulful worship. After earning his rabbinic ordination from the University of Judaism (now American Jewish University), Ranon became a committed educator and leader. In 2005, he became senior rabbi at Brith Shalom, where his transformative leadership led to congregational growth, innovative prayer services, and significant financial successes, including securing a $1.5 million endowment.
