The Other Phase is a gameplay phase of a battle turn that appears in some Fire Emblem games. Depending on the game, the Other Phase takes place either after the Player Phase or Enemy Phase.
Overview
The Other Phase is is a turn phase distinct from the Player Phase and Enemy Phase in which non-player Other Units act. It is in some cases analogous to the Ally Phase, though games such as Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance feature both a distinct Ally Phase and Other Phase.
In some cases, Other Units act similar to Ally Units, in that they are on the player's side, and during the Other Phase will take action against enemy units, but in other cases, they are neutral or non-combatants. During the Other Phase, Other Units may perform actions such as attack, heal, or move. Other Units may also approach a Player Unit in order to talk with them.
