    AutoAbility-lrffxiii-icon This is a list of auto-abilities in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. Auto-abilities automatically take effect once garbs, weapons, shields, or accessories are equipped to Lightning. Command abilities can also gain auto-abilities, indicated by the yellow-colored text in the menu. Auto-abilities have a chance to appear on command abilities after fusing two abilities together. During battle, auto-abilities of the current Schema either activate automatically, or activate when specific conditions are met, such as switching schemas.

    1. The in-game description of "Stagger Booster" is wrong: this ability ONLY applies to the attack that actually does the stagger, not every attack dealt to a staggered enemy. To make use of this ability, the player must time a very powerful attack as the stagger attack. The official strategy guide, page 250, has the ability described as "Increases damage dealt by an attack that staggers an enemy by 50%."
