Enlightened soul, heed my plea and we shall bring light to your dark path.

Know that a vetala holds my power thrall within this spire. Slay it and I shall once more be free.

If you can but restore the strength of my two brethren and I, here on the upper tiers, the way will be opened unto you.

    Stats

    With Inertial Barrier

    Battle

At the start of the battle and 30 seconds after losing it, Vetala uses Inertial Barrier, increasing its resistances. Being staggered removes the barrier.

Vetala uses Multicast to cast several magic spells simultaneously. The first Multicast is followed by two total casts of Fira, Blizzara, Thundara and Watera; the second is followed by four casts of Fire, Blizzard, Thunder or Water; and the third is followed by two total casts of Slowga, Poisonga, Painga, Fogga, Deprotega and Deshellga.

The -ra spells deal 498-547 damage in an area of effect; basic spells deal 332-365 damage; and -ga spells deal 99-109 damage to the whole party with a chance to inflict their respective status ailments for 60 seconds (24% for Slow and Poison, 15% for Pain and Fog, and 30% for Deprotect and Deshell).

    Strategy

The party should start in either Guerilla (RAV/SYN/SAB) or Superiority (SYN/SYN/SAB) paradigm and bestow Shell on the party to reduce the damage taken. Vetala should be quickly staggered with Tri-disaster (RAV/RAV/RAV) to remove its barrier. The party should then shift back to Guerila or Superiority to inflict Deprotect and Imperil on Vetala, while bestowing Bravery and any En-effect on the party. It should be dispatched with Aggression (COM/COM/RAV) or Relentless Assault (COM/RAV/RAV).
