Etymology
The Myrmidons or Myrmidones were a legendary people of Greek history. They were brave warriors, trained and commanded by Achilles, as described in Homer's Iliad. According to Greek legend, they were created by Zeus from a colony of ants and therefore took their name from the Greek word for ant, myrmex. In keeping with the theme of the other Tilters, its name also means "one who follows orders without question, protest, or pity", which is quite fitting for a war-machine.
The last part of its Japanese name translates as "Krieger", a German word, meaning "Warrior". Its German name, "Orion-Drohne", translates into "Orion Drone", even though an enemy called "Orion" exists in the game and is of the same type/subtype.
