    FFXIV Meol
    Meol foodstuff.

Meol (メオル, Meoru?) is a foodstuff from Final Fantasy XIV. Introduced in the Shadowbringers expansion, the food is a popular meat-based pastry product created in the city of Eulmore. It is introduced in the storyline during the Warrior of Light's first visit to the Kholusia region.

    Story

During the later portions of the main scenario, the party learns from Ryne that meol is created from sin eaters that were once Eulmore citizens. Because of the nature of sin eaters siring new members from some of their victims, a Eulmore resident would gradually transform after consuming enough meol. Meol scraps were also distributed to the gatetown residents surrounding Eulmore, making them susceptible to Vauthry's Lightwarden abilities as he used them and the unchanged Eulmore residents as his first wave of defense. The more Meol someone has eaten, the greater the level of control Vauthry has; however, the process is so gradual that it would take months, if not years, for Vauthry's control to take hold.
