Magic Slash is a physical ability for Lightning in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. It is a unique physical attack exclusive to the Miqo'te Dress garb, dealing both physical and magic damage to a target.
Obtained
Magic Slash Lv. ★ is automatically equipped as one of the locked abilities for the Miqo'te Dress garb, which can be obtained by collecting fireworks from the four Chocobo Girls in Yusnaan between 5 PM and 3 AM.
Mechanics
When used, Lightning attacks slashes the enemy with a physical version of the Ruin spell, dealing both physical and magical non-elemental damage. After attacking four times with the ability, Magic Slash will perform a combo finisher to deal extra damage to the target. The ability costs 10 ATB and can be used while airborne.

Use
Magic Slash is especially useful against enemies weak to Physical and Magic elements. Inflicting Deprotect and Deshell on the target prior to using Magic Slash allows it to deal to more damage, while also giving it a boost on increasing an enemy's stagger wave. It can be good against Aeronite.

Magic Slash appeared as one of the SSR and SSR+ Lightning Legend summons. It summoned Lightning into battle to attack a target.
