Granaldo is a boss in Final Fantasy VIII Raldos .
During the Garden Clash incident , and in Ultimecia Castle , the Granaldo can be fought as a regular enemy. Despite earning no EXP in the boss fight, the Granaldo enemy fought in normal battles will earn the player EXP.
A large insect-type monster that is a survivor of some ancient race. Uses its large spikes and tail to attack.

Despite his intimidating appearance, Granaldo is not a tough opponent. In the boss appearance, it fights alongside three Raldos . As long as the Raldos are present, Granaldo will attack by picking one of them up and throwing them at a party member. After the Raldos are defeated, Granaldo will resort to weak physical clawing attacks. Repeatedly casting any kind of offensive magic or summoning Guardian Forces will take care of it easily.
