Crystal Strength

Crystal Strength (クリスタル覚醒, Kurisutaru Kakusei?, lit. Crystal Awakening) is a character development system in Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia.

Overview

The Crystal Strength system allows the player to unlock a unit's latent powers, as well as to provide permanent stat augments based on the unit's attack type and initial attributes.

By collecting Crystal Shards, Crystals, Crystal Clusters, High Shards, High Crystals, and High Clusters in any mission, or from rewards and token exchanges, the player can infuse their units with crystals matching each unit's base crystal color. Higher drop rates occur in the permanent Cycle Quests as well as in select World of Illusions missions.

As the strength of an ability increases, the number of crystals required to fuse a similar augment five levels later will also increase. Status augments (red) are permanent. Passive augments (blue), abilities, and support skills that require Command Points (CP) are earned every fifth level. All skills can also be used in conjunction with those earned by leveling up, also on level multiples of five.

As of the most recent clients and storyline content, new characters will be added to the player's roster at level 70 with STR 70 already unlocked.
