Ask (相談する, Sōdan Suru?) is a command in Final Fantasy Adventure. This command will let the player ask a temporary party member for help if one is currently in the player's party. The non-playable characters can help the player in various and important ways, some will use their special ability and others will give out information.
List of Ask abilities

| Mysterious Man | He will teach Sumo how to use the item Mattok when asked. |
| Watts | He will let Sumo shop for Items when asked. |
| Bogard | He will teach Sumo how to use Max attacks when asked. |
| Chocobo | It will give Sumo a ride on its back. During this time, enemies cannot harm him while riding. |
| Chocobot | It will give Sumo a ride on its back. During this time, enemies cannot harm him while riding. He can run on water. |
| Amanda | She will heal Sumo from Ston status when asked. |
| Lester | He'll change the background music when asked. |
| Marcie | It will restore Sumo's MP to full when asked. |
