Summary: Though everything had, by all appearances, finished well, with Doctor Tobel and his bombsight safely under Scotland Yard protection, Moriarty dead and his crew captured, Holmes could not help but feel that this had been one of his worst cases. He had been too slow, too conceited, too foolish. People had died because of him. He had nearly died. No, it could hardly be called one of his successes.
Reccer's Notes: This fic takes place after the events of Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon, however, the pertinent information needed to understand the story is that at one point Moriarty had Holmes strapped to a table and was slowly bleeding him out. This deals with the aftermath of such an action, and deals with a Holmes that is not his clear headed self, but exhausted and emotional. Mixed up in these emotions is a pining, touch starved Holmes.
