Brief history of character and story so far - Morgan Daniels is a character I created for an Alias roleplay K and I did and are still doing online. I did a crossover fic, where Morgan is reassigned to NCIS for a few months. Stuff happens in those months, but nothing that is relevant to this drabble. She leaves after those months and returns to her CIA duties. However, a mission calls her back to NCIS and she returns. During that time, Timothy Mcgee and herself have dinner and get to know each other. A day before Morgan has to leave, she admits to Timothy that she has feelings for him, but because of their occupations, it prevents them from seeking a relationship. She leaves and a week later the NCIS team gets news that she is dead. A month or two goes by and Tim receives a call on his cell phone. It's from Morgan, but she hangs up before he can say anything. Tim and Tony trace the call to a local strip club and find Morgan there. She's a stripper! Well, it's her alias. Anyway... she's brought back to NCIS and she explains that they've blown her cover. She tells them that her mission is to find the mole inside the agency. Everyone is shocked and blown away by her appearance and the news that they have a mole.

The doors slid open and the bright light of the elevator pooled out onto the cement ground of the garage. Morgan stepped out and saw Tim leaning against a workbench with all sorts of tools laid out on it. He looked upset, with his arms folded over his chest and his brow furrowed. She slowly walked over and stood in front of him, her hands by her side and her brown hair swept up in a loose ponytail.

"Abs must have forgotten to put away her toys," Morgan said.

He didn't look her way or reply. He shook his head slightly and breathed out. Morgan knew exactly why he was so angry and they needed to sort out whatever was between them before they could catch the mole.

"Tim, I'm sorry--" She began.

"You're sorry!?" He snapped, looking at her and taking her by surprise, "You rise from the dead and that's all you have to say to me," He shook his head again.

"You can't honestly believe that I wanted to do that. To fake my death and hurt you like this?" She said.

When he didn't respond, Morgan took a step closer to him and frowned, "That's the last thing I wanted to do," She whispered.

It had been barely audible, but Tim had heard it. He unfolded his arms and looked straight at her.

"You still did it, though," He said, and his tone was accusatory.

Morgan's anger rose, "It wasn't my choice!" She said sharply.

"No, but it was your choice to tell me you had feelings for me and then you died!" He shouted and it echoed throughout the spacious garage.

Morgan's mouth opened slightly in surprise and she was tempted to take a step back. He was right, however. She had received her orders a week before she had said those things to Tim. It had felt right at the time, but now she knew that it had been a mistake. Tim's face was a mixture of hurt and anger, emotions she'd never witnessed in him. Not like this, anyway.

"You're right. I made a mistake! I'm not dead though, not anymore," She said, trying to salvage what she knew was just another irreparable relationship.

Tim stared at her for a moment, before he walked passed her and made his way to the elevator. He stopped at the doors.

"No, but I wish to hell that you still were," He said softly, his voice unsteady.

The scanner accepted his eye, the elevator doors opened and he stepped inside just as the doors closed. Morgan stood where she was, fighting back tears and watching the numbers above the elevator as they lit up. She managed to take a deep breath and compose herself.

"I wish it had been my choice,"
