Hurricane Sandy
We're back home. We lost power Mon and got it back Fri - 5 very cold days even though we had a generator because it wasn't hooked into our heating system (something we're rectifying as of Mon). I took the kids up to my parents on Fri because it was just too cold to deal and it was my grandmother's birthday. We actually got power back prior to leaving, but with her birthday and the fact I had promised the kids a mini-Halloween by going around to my aunts and uncles' houses we went anyway. I felt less guilty leaving my husband behind though, and he wasn't willing to leave under the conditions in our town.
I have pretty much not seen any news for the past week so I probably know less about what went down with Sandy than any of the rest of you. I just know half our town still is without power. Gas lines are miles long, and school is still closed for an unknown length of time because the town is under emergency conditions. So yeah, fun times.
I did watch SPN on my sister's computer and liked it. It felt a little set up-y for the next ep, which should be interesting.
