Teen Wolf fan fic contest by MTV

MTV is asking people to submit Teen Wolf fan fiction in order to win a trip to LA to meet the showrunner and hang out in the writers room. I don't even know how to process this - fan art is one thing, but actually asking for fan fic? Wow.
Also, of the 4330 fan fics on AO3 as of today, 2488 of them are sterek, which is almost 60% (57.5% to be exact). I don't know if AO3 is representative of the fandom fic output as a whole, but if it is then MTV better be prepared to read a lot of sterek (assuming it's sent in in the same ratio). They showed sterek fan art on TV when doing a contest for TW fan art this summer, so I assume that means they won't object to it in fan fic form (although the contest specifies no porn allowed, probably to spare whatever poor interns are the first line read through). And they mocked EW's "apology" for not including sterek in their shipper poll (EW said it was intended only for het couples who have an intentional will they/won't they vibe) by saying maybe next year sterek would be allowed to enter (implying they would have an intentional will they/won't they vibe maybe?), so MTV seems pretty open to slash possibilities.
