about us!

𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓅𝓇𝑒𝓂𝒾𝓈𝑒

eyez everywhere is an original character 20+, real-life,  celeb-oriented,  semi-private jcink premium site set in los angeles, california. we’re focused on character development & collaboration amongst creatives first & foremost, but what we seek to dig into the most in terms of plottage is the realities of the entertainment industry –– all that glitters isn’t always gold, you feel? some our points of influence include perfect blue, the substance, bojack horseman, the neon demon, inside, videodrome, dream scenario, the truman show, the curse, the rehearsal, network, king of comedy, maps to the stars, &  black mirror.   think ayesha erotica’s ‘hollywood dream’,  kendra’s psychiatrist storytimes on tiktok, the hellish idea of deepfaked intimacy violating true events’ legitimacy,  & true, ongoing events that exemplify the emergence of the media’s role in celebrity pop culture,  which requires their privacy often being violated. so, here, there’s of course the perception of glamour to factor in, but we’re really seeking to delve into the darker side of fame & explore the extents of subtle, modern day psychological horror that comes with such an extreme reduction of privacy, being surrounded by screens, toxic & relentless fandom culture always on the rise, etc - & how these elements added to the stressors of life, love, work, family, successes, & failures, would impact actual human beings over time, especially as technology only continues to advance & improve in its ability to create convincing output.

𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝑔𝓊𝒾𝒹𝑒𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑒𝓈

below is a very abbreviated version of our guidelines. these are subject to change as staff sees necessary. any changes will be communicated appropriately with announcements in server & the dates of rules’ additions cemented in the guidebook for the sake of earnesty.

★ we are a jcink premium site with a mature 3/3/3 rating & are open to  writers aged 20+ to join our community. we ask that all things requiring [ m ] or [ tw ] be tagged accordingly,  though know before joining that we are NOT kink/smut based. we ask that topics be explored with respect & realism. a channel in our discord server is dedicated to compiling resources & make discovering credible sources easier.  politics are discussed / referenced on site, & there’s a channel you can opt-into on server when choosing roles for venting about societal issues & the state of the world, but no one is obliged to partake, & no one’s experience will ever be silenced because it’s specific to their area.  please know that we do acknowledge the good,  bad,  &  ugly in our little universe–––  the pandemic did happen,  as did the WGA strikes, etc.  as they impacted the entertainment industry far too significantly to write out of existence.  we have chosen not to include the tragic LA fires  &  current ICE raids in our universe’s canon,  &  just so there isn’t any confusion,  no MAGA-minded folks are welcome here.  this is not up for debate.  realism is important to us,  but we refuse to entertain playing out any ideologies or hateful acts aimed towards excluding or intimidating minority groups,  both in & out of character.  characters can be ignorant, disrespectful, sure, many of ours are due to the privileged positions they’ve been able to attain through family connections or other means.

this said, any outright hate speech towards any marginalized communities will warrant the consequence it calls for,  a kick thru the second story window.  byiiiiiiiieeeeeee!

respect towards ethnicity, religion, gender identity, body diversity, & disabilities must be shown on site, in the discord server, & in one-on-one interactions. please make an effort to see that any psds or filters you may use on character graphics do not whitewash poc. staff can point you towards some should you struggle to find them,  or if time permits,  assist in providing graphics that portray your fc without changing their skin color to a point past be mindful & aware of diversity in all walks when it comes to all claims. research is important & beyond necessary in making sure that the diversity on site is present but not performative–– that said, no fetishization, stigmatization, or mocking caricatures of marginalized groups will be tolerated in or out of character, & any cases of any of the above will result in a potential ban from our site & server.

an addition as of 18 december 2025:  especially in regards to BIPOC, you may not decide that your muse belongs to an ethnic group that your faceclaim has no ties to.  japan is not thailand.  ethiopia is not uganda.  these countries, while they may be in the same region, cultural differences are important & matter in the process of creating a character & considering their worldview.  the research on faceclaims’ identities in all regards (ethnic background, gender identity, etc.) is to be researched by the writer intending to use them as a representative of their character,  not the admin team.  we are all people with lives as well, & we would rather spend time writing with our community than making sure that we haven’t been misinformed in regards to an issue of this sort, as we thought this a reasonable standard for any writing community.  it is exactly what begins exhibiting ‘respect’ towards any of the groups listed above.  researching the cultural elements & common standards of their time on earth & those from any influential figures that may play into their backstory, traditions, opinions, values, or any element of their character is fully the writer’s responsibility.  we may be able to be able to point you towards resources if asked,  even find pdf files or guide you to a jstor article if you need info on something specific,  but please acknowledge that we’ve done this work in crafting our own muses,  so expecting that our members do the same should come as no surprise.

if your fc has ties to various ethnic or tribal groups, please look into & acknowledge them all with the same sense of respect.  you aren’t allowed to use josh ho-sang,  for example,  as a face,  & keep his jamaican roots in mind but discard his jewish heritage entirely even though he’s openly spoken on it being a part of his lived experience–––  this doesn’t mean we need an academic essay on any of the histories of any specific groups in your freeform,  we want to see into the spirit & soul of the character above all first & foremost!  we just have been bitten once in regards to staff not doing research on a member’s faceclaim  (as we figured writers who consider joining us wouldn’t be inclined to not double-check with a quick search online)  with teeth sharp & sunken in deep enough to scar,  been held to further account than said muse’s creator,  & now we’ve chosen to restate what respect towards any group your muse belongs to looks like,  as clearly as possible.  we refuse to allow anything in the ethnicity space on a muse profile that doesn’t reflect the faceclaim's reality.  nationality can differ from the face’s,  we don’t deny writers’ creative freedom to a point they can’t have a muse have been born & brought up near amsterdam or st. petersburg or manzanillo because the faceclaim was born & raised in the states,  that could be part of their story,  the way they were brought up,  how they found what they believe to be their calling–––   regardless of ethnicity,  anyone can be born anywhere,  as even estimated due dates can’t be looked at as definite for those expecting a child.  we just need to know that writers understand that you can’t look at a human being & choose their ethnicity based on assumption.  a google search,  a five-minute-max scan over their wikipedia page, &  a little bit of willingness to look into what holidays, media, or traditions (to name three of many possibilities)  may have colored their childhoods can make a world of difference in the way you choose to decide what their formative years were like.

what creates culture is the world’s collection of individual experiences within communities & family influences:  if a baby is born in guatemala & adopted by an italian-american family before formative memories are able to become concrete when they look back on their childhood, it’s more than likely that their cultural experience has been somewhat influenced by the family that raised them.  there’s also potential for clashing outlooks as the child grows & discovers their roots.  curiosity tends to prompt some exploration, whether it’s wanting to contact biological family or just understand the way culture differs back where they were born.  back to bottom line,  presenting us with a muse who’s claimed to be korean in the ‘ethnicity’ tab in your control panel when their faceclaim is chinese or any attempt at bending a faceclaim’s cultural identity in a similar way is not acceptable,  as it proves a lack an attempt at base level research & may prompt a kick from site & server.  respect may require some research.  if that’s too difficult a task to take on,  we are not the site for you.

★ in a similar vein,  another update as of 18 december,  to avoid any cloudiness around expectations :    we aim to write fleshed out human beings of characters with strengths,  weaknesses,  wins,  &  losses.  emulating the human experience means realism is non-negotiable.  perfect people don’t exist, & this is a space where we embrace that both in & out of character.

IN CHARACTER:  no cultural stereotypes or mocking caricatures will be permitted on board.  these actively perpetuate views that have harmed real people & only continue to under the enforcement of jokes or jabs or vilification towards the world’s variety by figures in positions of power.  this is something we should celebrate & be grateful for.  a character from mexico can be written without a description including the sombrero they wear 24/7 as part of your prose:  in fact, an instance of this would result in an admin ticket off the bat to discuss why you’ve chosen to present your muse this way. are you making intentional, meaningful commentary through a muse’s awareness of the real-world views that negatively impact them?  even if so, there’s a 99.9% chance you’ll be told that this type of ‘awareness’ isn’t what we aim for on eyez & had any indicators of this type of characterization been shown on the application you’d submitted, it would have been a unanimous ‘no’ from the team.  this has happened before,  anything in an app that gives a red flag regarding fetishistic intent or an inability to write a muse who isn’t white with humanity, integrity, research as needed, & respect is a denial the second it’s picked up on.  playing an a muse who struggles with substance abuse disorder as a 90s sitcom caricature who types illegibly around the clock & is reduced to nothing but their stumbling over their own feet will be treated the same way.  these portrayals are not realistic,  &  they are actively harmful to real people in the real world.  in our community,  which is smaller than the general population,  obviously,  disrespectful stereotyping like the examples given above stick out like sore thumbs if sore thumbs glowed like neon signs.  if it can be textbook-cited as known to be an inflated, lopsided, false idea of the truth behind the condition or any culture at hand,  we stand by our right to remove you as a member of eyez,  as we are never willing to entertain any behavior that suggests difficulties in looking at another human being with understanding & base-level consideration.

★  our activity requirements are set to mirror that we understand this is a hobby and not something that should come before the necessities of real life.  ESPECIALLY WITH CURRENT EVENTS IN MIND,  WE ARE UNDERSTANDING,  TIMES ARE FAR FROM EASY.  the ideal minimum required to keep a character active is at least five comm posts or one thread post over the span of four weeks. communication is key, though. part of being a community means holding space for one another’s individual circumstances & understanding that life is a whirlwind sometimes, which we as a team are more than happy to do given that we’re able to communicate with you through an absence to make sure you still have interest in our community.  we’re understanding of life being life, especially these days, a tough thing to walk through sometimes.  all we ask is that members communicate their needs,  &  we’ll figure something out with you,  no judgement.  three months without base level communication & a one to one interest checkup from an admin will lead to removal from site & server.  you’re welcome to apply again when life is less constrictive towards hobbies!

★  all faceclaims used must be at least 20 years old at the time of registration. please refrain from using content that shows your faceclaim as a minor in your graphics. face claims aged 20 - 24 can follow a 3 +/- rule (so long as they remain a legal adult, of course) while those older are to follow the standard 5 +/- when it comes to settling on an age for your character.  faces aged 50+ can operate by a 7 +/-.

other peoples’ children, from newborn state to that of any minor,  may not be claimed as npc children of muses onsite.  npc children are allowed,  but real children/their likenesses may not be used here with faces shown, especially if not represented by a talent agency that is easily found & able to assure functions ethically to keep all clients safe.

★  in regards to faces we won’t allow on site, here’s a list on the general side,  individuals are on site but quite obvious (do not bring kevin spacey here, please & thanks):

  • adult film actors / onlyfans sex workers.
  • deceased individuals
  • unsigned models & influencers
  • those who have expressed a desire not to be used
  • political figures
  • silicon valley moguls
★  for  genre  parallels,  or the type of energy we aim for,  see:   perfect  bluethe  substancebojack  horseman,  the  neon  demon,  inside,  videodrome,  dream  scenario,  the  curse,  the truman show,  the  rehearsal,  networkking  of  comedy,  earlier episodes of black  mirror.

essentially:  if you’re someone who took john mulaney’s rehab stay in ‘21 & new partner personally,  we are not the site for you.  if you would put anyone in danger based on who you ’stan’, an example being doxxing due to fandom clashes or disagreements,  we are not the site for you.  if you scoffed at billie eililish’s words at the most recent grammy awards & see no connection between art & politics or why an artist would choose to use their platform to speak against injustice, we are not the site for you.  if you cannot resolve potential conflict in a respectful,  adult manner,  we are certainly not  for you.

if you love to tell stories through fiction that ring true to the nature of humanity,  we may be for you!  if you enjoy exploring the anthropological & sociological impacts or aspects of pop culture moments both big & small in any era,  you’d likely be a lovely fit!  if you have an open mind & love to learn new things, we love to see it.  if you have a key understanding that human beings like you are behind their screens as you are behind yours & so must be treated as such, you sound so dope.  we read jstor articles for fun like nerds sometimes lowkey, not gonna lie,  &  if you do the same or feel that gnawing to learn on occasion too,  i’m just saying that it’d be super cool to meet you.  you probably would fit in mad well on our site  &  in its ooc server.  creative minds break boundaries,  &  our community welcomes creativity in whatever form comes most organically to you,  given that tolerance of other peoples’ circumstances & following basic rules to respect all is doable.

𝒶𝓅𝓅𝓁𝒾𝒸𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃 𝓅𝓇𝑜𝒸𝑒𝓈𝓈

we’re seeking writers who are willing to get invested in our community & actively run with developing interesting oddities of plots & dynamics for our ooc community to get to giggle about. we highly recommend your first muse fill a wanted connection to get linked into the community & world of the site’s characters more easily, but it is not required.

the list of wanted connections can be found here & is updated as often as we can transfer them from our discord’s request form to our blog.

staff will be reaching out with invites through discord, so once you submit an application, please be looking for that to come & see that your friend requests are open so we’re able to contact!  nothing worse than not being able to invite a new friend to join us because of discord’s settings not allowing a request to go through.

if you receive no contact,  you can consider this a no.  staff takes maintaining the state of our community seriously since so much energy & creative effort has gone into it & all that makes up our site.  this is not anything personal,  know that hand to heart.  this just means that our  team wasn’t able to come to a 110% positive ‘yes’ based on the information in your app.  see it solely as a thank you so much for the time you poured into the form’s completion,  we wish you all the best,  &  there is absolutely a site out there that suits your artistic & creative methods, mindfulness towards, or interests.  we’re rooting for you to find it!

if you have any questions about something not listed above, feel free to send in an ask! staff is always more than happy to answer!
