Lawsuits Over Racial Epithets

OMGZ!!! I have a black supervisor at work and he used racial slurs to describe me! He called me a "redneck cracker honkey Casper-faced sonofabitch" on Monday! Then on Wednesday, he called me a "red savage" and asked me "How's the scalping business?" after he learned that I'm part Cherokee! And on Thursday, he referred to me as "miscegenated piece of cross-pollinated toilet trash" who was going to marry an "slope bitch"! My supervisor is such a racist! He's caused me massive emotional trauma! I'm so hurt over this!

::copious emo tears and sobbing like a child::

I've spoken to my lawyer about this! We're going to sue the company for $61 million dollars! He's a good lawyer, too! He'll make sure we get a jury of people that have a social conscience! We will see some social justice done, mark my words! Nobody hurts my pwecious widdle feewings and gets away with it!

Oh, did you really think I was going to sue my place of work? Nah. I was just kidding, people! None of this actually happened to me. Yes, I do have a black supervisor at work(are you surprised to find out that a factory in the rural heart of red state would put a black man in a shift leader position? If you are, then you're completely ignorant of the fact fact that institutionalized racism and so-called "white privilege" are both dead, dead, dead!) but he seems like an okay guy to me. But what if it had actually happened? Would $61 million seem a little excessive to you, to say the least? Here's what really happened:

Jury Awards $61 Million in Harassment Case

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - A jury in California has awarded $61 million dollars to two FedEx Ground drivers of Lebanese descent who said a manager continuously harassed them with racial slurs.

The men, Edgar Rizkallah and Kamil Issa, said they were called "terrorists," and other epithets. The harassment allegedly took place in 1999 and 2000 by the manager for the Oakland terminal where the two were contract drivers.

The lawsuit accused FedEx Ground of failing to enforce its own anti-discrimination policies and prevent abuse against minorities.

The jury on Friday awarded the men $50 million in punitive damages, on top of $11 million in compensatory damages it awarded them last week.

A FedEx Ground spokesman says the award was excessive and the company plans to appeal.

It figures that this case was settled in California. I'm not at all shocked. No, not one bit.

Now, if you thought a white guy asking for $61 million in dmamges over name calling was batshit insane, you would be correct. But would somebody please explain to me how two Lebanese people should get such an amount? How does being called racial epithets entitle anybody to become financially set for life? Seriously, these two guys got called names and now they'll get to live comfortably until they're too old to pee without assistance from the staff at a nursing home. So much for earning or inheriting a fortune in California. No, a path to wealth is reserved for non-whites who scream "He called me bad names and now I'm all buttsore over it!" All you need is an unethical greedy lawyer and a politically "correct" jury(i.e. a functionally retarded jury) and you're all set!

And what if these two guys made the whole thing up because they know just how PC California is? Did you ever think about that?

Oh, well.

Lots to do. Lots to do. Lots to do, have I.

So, until next time, my friends!

Muahahaha... ;-)
