When newly wanted bionic thief Ferret sneaks onto the Ulysses, a luxury cruiseship for the uber-rich, he just wants to get out with his malfunctioning arm still intact. But he doesn’t expect to get wound up in a conspiracy while he’s looking for parts. He meets fellow cyborg criminals aboard—experts in espionage, combat, and especially artillery—who can help teach him the ropes.

The four are taken on a ride across the cosmos. Throughout daring heists and close calls, the gang hear whispers about missing ambassadors, killer bots, and a smuggling operation on Ulysses itself. All the while avoiding getting caught by agents of the Court of Galactic Law.

Eventually, they find themselves cornered on the spacecraft when they’re enlisted to find an infamous alien con artist … or face the penalties of their crimes for the rest of their lives.

a waggish wandering thief with a malfunctioning bionic arm, who hops from ship to ship for batteries and extra parts. He’s a slippery pest, and his favourite hobby is giving the Court of Galactic Law a migraine. Ferret’s a bit green, but he’s ambitious. His biggest scheme yet is to sneak onto the Ulysses, one of the last remaining spacecrafts with a crew of androids.

a chipper ex-military mercenary from way down south of the Hicks Asteroid Belt, with a steady side gig as a mechanic. He always comes equipped with a big, earnest smile and a transforming toolbox he calls Bigguns. His inventions always come in handy … as long as they don’t explode before he needs them to!

a high strung body mod dealer who’s more android than human. She’s a runaway from a bot fighting ring, determined to find out who she was before. She’s also a bit too familiar with punching first and asking later. Thankfully, this flies pretty well in the business of illegal body mods, whereby she often finds herself employed.

a foolhardy tech-wiz spy who strikes deals in shady pubs on shadier moons, selling information for favours. He tries a little too hard to be debonair, but he’s a great bartender … and thanks to his awful plans, a stellar improviser. His hacking prowess goes unrivalled in the circle of cybercriminals he runs with.
