Georgeta (Geta) Burlacu is famous Moldovan jazz singer. She has qualified from music collage, class of violin, then Conservatorium, jazz department. Performs solo, with band "Univox Vocal Band", band "Acid Grape", project "Right horns". In 2006 was one of the finalists of Moldovan Eurovision preselection, shared first place in the first stage with Alexa and Sergiu Kuzenkoff. Moldovan Eurovision 2008 representative Geta Burlacu has officially presented on 15th of April music video for the "Century of Love". Video, which was finished just recently, tells the story of four couples, that should spend their lives together, sharing sorrow and happiness. According to the manager of the singer Corina Caireac, video, as the song itself, speaks about eternal values, which give reasons for human existense - about love of man and woman, love of children to parents, love to the life. The piece of art doesn't need any explanations, it just gives occasion to think. Language of the video is symbolical. The mail part is occupied by stairs, representing spiral of the life, and climbing the stairs gives different meaning of love in different stages of life. Main colours of the video are black and white, used to distinguish periods of life, from bad to good and back. Also creators of the video have used orange colour, which according to Geta is colour of freedom, expression of life itself. Both professional artists and newcomers took part in the video. Together with acress from Tchehov's theater Silvia Berova we can see in video her husband Grigorie Butucel. Among other characters in the video: couple, whose wedding will take place in May. Also we can see in clip Geta Burlacu herself, Elvira and students of theatrical collage. Video was shoot at the ground located 30 km from Kishinau and were going for couple of days. Cost of the video was around 12 thousands of USD. Government has given 320 thousands of lei for shooting of the video and promotion of the song. Geta Burlacu has already returned from Romania and plans to go to Israel and Germany. National Final of Moldavian preselection has been set for 9th February, and will take place in the National Palace, the main concert place in Moldova. Show will be broadcasted at TV Moldova 1, TV Moldova International (broadcast via sat EutelSat W2 12703 Mhz) and Radio Moldova. Online broadcast will be provided on www.trm.md. According to the rules, the running order of performance in NF will be conversely connected with amount of points they get from jury audition. Moldovan broadcaster TRM has finalized regulations of national selection and revealed exclusively to ESCKaz. Entries are accepted till December 11th. During the week after deadline professional jury will listen to all submitted material. As the result of jury decision, during next 60 days (most probably in late December, or in January), next stage of selection will be run, which will include televized concert of 12 performers (broadcasted live on TV Moldova 1, TV Moldova Internationa and Radio Moldova) with televoting. Decision in this stage will be taken by professional jury (1/3), televoting (1/3) and TRM comission (1/3 of total).
