Character Name: Hyde
Character Type: Master Vampire

Abilities:
Vampire Abilities:
Typical vampire powers (speed, fascination, hypnotizing with gaze, strength) as well as:

Deep Rolling: The ability to get so deep into a person's mind, that no matter where they go or what they do, only death will keep the vampire from being able to call their victim.
Rotting: Hyde is capable of rotting parts of his body at will, or rotting his entire body so only fire can destroy him. He can regenerate completely from this self imposed rotting. Though his clothing will not.
Infectious Bite: Hyde is capable of infecting another person (vampire, wizard, human, etc) with his bite. Not every bite is infectious, only those he puts the power into. The infection can be cleansed, but takes great power and is lethal to the healer if the healer is not powerful enough to overcome the contagion.
Aura Slash: Hyde is able to use another person's aura of power against them to cause physical injury though he may not be near or physically touching that person.
Animal To Call: Hyde is capable of summoning jaguars and werejaguars. He can call them, control their cats and inflict pleasure and pain to them.

Mundane Abilities: Hyde speaks German, English, Italian, French and Latin fluently. He holds a law degree from the University of Bologna and a doctorate of theology from the University of Paris. Both are from his human life, though he does hold a current doctorate in paleo lithography. Hyde is a capable fencer in the Florentine style, but prefers a Halberd and is far more skilled in wielding that. He is a very capable accountant and businessman who keeps up to date on technology and his fields of business and leisure.

Age: 350 (23 years as human, 327 vampire)

Kinsey Rating: Solid 3.5

Physical Appearance: Hyde stands at five foot eight with lean frame but well defined muscle (he was a knight, after all). His hair is so dark brown it's nearly black and falls nearly straight, but with a crisp wave at the end. He keeps it neatly styled. Hyde's eyes are black, iris indistinguishable from the pupil. He appears to be 21 years of age with pale skin and very little body hair. His brows are dark and lips are full and sensual, usually carved into a mocking expression. He very rarely shows true emotion, but always looks like he's vaguely laughing at you.

He has no tattoos or piercings, but his arms and torso are covered in thin, white scars from his human days in battle and in practice with blade and halberd.

Hyde tends to dress in total couture, ranging from casual when he's just around the house or running errands to full on runway odd when going to an event or spending an evening at his club. He is fond of one particular piece of jewelry, a thumb sized star ruby in the shape of a heart, set in platinum with a platinum and diamond crown at the apex of the heart. It's a pin and the ruby was once his mother's.

PB: James Franco

Personality: Hyde is, above all else, selfish. And he's excellent at it. He puts on an air of fatuous materialism, some debauched indulgent type, but in truth, he's watching. Calculating. Any who doubt this have only to look at both of the rather profitable businesses he runs or the various amounts of education he has. This is not to say he doesn't love himself and enjoy dipping into his indulgences. Because of his years in such a typically abusive Court setting, he does have a dark enjoyment of the pain of others, especially when he can teach them to enjoy it. But he is adamantly against true torture or rape and will not engage in it.

Though he is a master vampire, he does not seek a territory of his own. He likes stability, but prefers it in the guise of a competent Master of the City rather than an entire territory that he must defend himself. But he is an asset in that he will back and obey a competent Master. As much as Hyde dislikes getting involved in conflicts, he is capable of putting up a goodly fight.

He enjoys sex. He enjoys both men and women equally and a variety of kinks. He will try anything once and has a particular fondness of cat shifters that can change parts of their body. Ask him why and he'll ask you if you've ever been licked by a cat's tongue. Though it isn't just sensual pleasure, he has made a small monetary empire out of sex as he was one of the first and most successful internet sex toy suppliers. He delegates most of that work out now, but keeps the books (Both in Quickbooks and an actual ink and paper ledger). His other business venture is a burlesque club, once more surrounding him with sex, or at least the promise of sex.

Hyde has two Tragic Flaws, he's vaguely OCD and incredibly impulsive. Everything in his house is perfectly in place, he's not fond of clutter, but of blank, empty surfaces, very modern architecture and a lack of nature. Sometimes he acts without thinking, even on big decisions. He enjoys the rush of doing this so has made no concentrated effort to reign himself in.

History/Background:

Hyde was born Joachim von Silesia. It was the end of the medieval era and the beginning of the renaissance, though no one would really call it such at the time, those labels came later. His father was a dying breed, a knight in the service of the Holy Roman Empire, his mother a widowed heiress, ten years older than his father. The original cougar. She loved her son intensely, her only child that survived to young adulthood, and taught him all the nuances of society and the mannerisms of petty court.

He grew up in an advanced environment of learning and private tutors which ended in his time spent at the University of Bologna for law and of University of Paris for theology. He returned with two doctorates and was almost immediately called into service of the Holy Roman Emperor. Even in the soft education, Hyde had been trained in the physical lessons of knighthood and went to fulfill that service. This is where he earned his distaste for battle, upon seeing the cruelties of man against his fellows, of pain and injury and senseless war that the people fighting certainly didn't care to be party to. Two years later he returned to find out his mother had arranged marriage to a local Graf's daughter. She was set to inherit a large amount of acreage adjacent to their own property, as well as a handsome sum of gold.

The girl reminded Hyde of his mother, slightly older than himself, intelligent and with a good sense of expectation from their marriage. They got on well and Hyde did grow to love her, showing it best by remaining utterly loyal. She did the same, though was surprised at his monogamy. Within a half year she was with child and in another half year, dead in premature birth, both mother and child.

When he was 23, newly widowed, he was riding home to his parents property when attacked by bandits. Though Hyde fought them, and killed more than he should have been able, in the end he was felled. Bleeding, dying in the middle of the woods, his future sire came to him, impressed by Hyde's ferocity, noting the young man fought as a man with nothing to lose.

And so Hyde became vampire. His sire was nurturing and oddly supportive. Hyde had been taught that sodomy was a sin, so it took years of gentle persuasion, of stolen kisses and touches before Hyde realized one sin was as bad as the next. They were lovers for decades until the sire fell into disfavor of the Master of Oberbrunswick. Hyde's sire was killed and Hyde became forfeit. The Master was callous and enjoyed pain to such a degree that Hyde picked up that particular flavor of fetish. Eventually, he managed to leave, in part due to the disinterest the Master showed after Hyde grew accustomed to the humiliating rituals of the Court and suffered them with a board grace. And in other part, because Hyde's powers were finally under control.

So Hyde came to America. In New Orleans, he indulged in his fetishes until the early 1900's when he moved on to New York. The city lacked the personality he desired. Culture, yes, but nothing like the reputation of Chicago. He was drawn to the city of gangsters and molls and upon arriving in late 1950, decided to settle in for a time. When the swelling crowds of humanity became too much, he went south and west, settling in Oklahoma City for a few miserable years.

It was fortunate, however, that's where he met his favorite pomme de sang, an IT person that Hyde coerced into working for him and feeding him. It didn't hurt that the cat enjoyed being whipped into orgasm. In turn, Hyde agreed to teach the kitten some self control. After a few months, he decided to pick up with said kitty and move. Throwing a dart ended with him in San Francisco.

RP Sample: The most difficult thing about moving, in Hyde's opinion, had been finding a new house. He had to have something modern and somewhat private. Something that no neighbors would be near enough to complain about the loud music or the parties or the strange comings and goings at all hours of the night. He settled on a water front property with a white concrete facade, terribly modern. A matching fence spanned the rather large (for this area at least) property. The gardens and such needed tending to, but he would hire a service and a landscaper and simply direct the whole thing.

The pool needed cleaning and some repairing and the pool house would just have to be torn down. Which was fine, he wanted to do a simply concrete structure. He'd line all that up himself since he didn't trust Stokes to actually put any effort into it if he asked the cat to manage the task. Even if the cat was staying with him.

There were things needing doing on the inside as well and the complete lack of order and feel of sanctuary was giving him a headache.

So he intended to take it out on Stokes. Which was exactly what he was doing by putting down a very large animal bed and water dish with Stokes printed on the side in pink rhinestones. Really, he should get used to drinking from a bowl, at proper Court functions he imagined that's what the cat would have to do, and with a grateful smile at that.

Really, he'd have the creature admitting Hyde wasn't so bad in no time.
