While addressing at the workshop the District Health Officer Muhammad Rahman Shaheen shed light on the importance of iodized salt in food and stressed on the factory owners to include the particular quantity of iodine while
preparing salt in their factories as it had great impact on the health of masses.
Moreover,
preparing salt beds for waste would be relatively easy, since it merely requires digging a chamber in the salt, lowering containers of waste inside, and then sealing the entrance with salt and layers of concrete and clay.
"I have inherited the profession of selling and
preparing salted fish from my father," Sayed told Daily News Egypt, adding that his father started their business in 1940, in the same place, and he has followed his path to this day.
